Get it out now, and hope it doesn't snow much more
Leave it until you're sure winter is completely over
Hey Guys,
With how mild this winter is, when are you guys planning to pull the bike out of storage? I'm going crazy with these random great riding days know my bike is stashed away and not easily accessible. Do you pull it out now or wait until you're really sure winter is over?
Thanks,
Rob
I'd probably gamble that February will remain winter-y, and plan for March 1st.
Edit: I'm under the impression that he stored his bike somewhere off the property. Otherwise, I don't see what the problem is.

Depends where you store it and what you consider winterization. Mines in a heated garage so for "winterization" I top off the gas tank and put a cover on it.
Voted for waiting. I hate salt and sand. I love how with the plastics off my bike it looks brand new.
Never winterized and bemused are not options so this poll is a stupid as my feeble attempts at starting polls...

I'm happy i didn't put mine away this year.
Saw someone out riding Tuesday on a sportbike.
In shorts.

I'm very tempted to take mine out. Roads are clear around here, but it's still just a tad cold.

I didn't put mine away; I'm still riding it to work about half the time. If it isn't a big cost, I'd suggest go ahead and get it back and ride it. If real winter shows up, you can put it back in storage and see when it clears up again.
I admit I'm new to the area, and to all of this "winter" stuff. But my expectation for the future is that I will just watch the weather as it happens, put the bike away when I am not riding it anymore, and get it out when the weather clears up enough, regardless of what the dates are.

This winter is KILLING ME. Put it away Halloween weekend, when we got almost a FOOT OF SNOW. All these nice days have been bittersweet to say the least. I've seen this trick before though...wouldn't be surprised if we get dumped on in Feb.
Real glad I bought a new snowboard this year too...
Mine are in the basement... Just need a little help getting them out the door. But no hurry, another month... First or second week in March.
Bought some stabil and glad I haven't used it. Too many good days this winter.

All 3 of mine (if you count my scooter) are put away partially disassembled since I'm always dissatisfied with something and plan changes/improvements for next season.
So I need to wait until it's warm enough to work in the garage all day before planning to pull them out.
End up late getting out every season as a result.
