Doesn't seem right.
Just bought a part for my 600RR on the phone from Parkway Cycles (Revere).
turns out I did my diagnosis wrong and the part I bought was
actually ok. Turn Signal indicator switch housing was purchased.
Its the Starter Button housing that's bad....so that's my bad.
$80 bad.
Ok so I ask if I can send the part back and get the right one.
I'm willing to take a hit on a restocking fee and then get the right part.
Parkway says no deal. I've done quite a bit of business over there
but that don't seem to matter. Do all shops do this?
You ever had to return an ordered part?

If it is classified as an electrical part, usually you are shit out of luck trying to return or exchange it.
I have to agree. Any time I've bought something electrical they have told me once I leave I can't return it. They have no way to tell if you may have shorted it out. I just bought a part for me Jeep and they told me I couldn't return it once I left.
You suck at life. Why don't you quit?
My dad told me I could be anything I wanted when I grew up. So I became an Asshole.
I never even opened the box though.
I asked about the return before I even had the item in hand.
Dumb customer service policy if you ask me.
The restocking fee there is 25% but even that would been better than
the hassle I now have of listing it on EBay and selling it.
I'm gonna call Bettencourts to ask them how they do it.

That's normal. We do not take back electrical parts of any kind either. The manufacturers will not take returns on anything electrical related. If we special order it for you, you own it.
Unless it's an item that I would normally stock. In which case I'd just take it back and put it in inventory. If it's not something I normally stock... then I don't want it in stock...
