    Disc Locks Not Universal?

I am just wondering because I picked up a used XENA XX14 from a forum seller and I cannot seem to get it to go over the rim as shown in the picture.

Is it less effective to lock it to the "larger" open area of the rotor?

It definitely makes a lot more sense to go to an internet forum and ask about a random product than it does to just go to the manufacturers website.

    3. Distance from locking-pin to back of disc-slot: from 42mm (XZN8) to 65mm (XN18) according to model.
    Followed by

*Note that the locking pin can pass through ANY hole on the brake disc.

Don't be afraid to think for yourself, Joe. It costs nothing and doesn't hurt one bit.

Trust me. I've been doing it for many years.

Disc locks are the most effective way to dump your new bike.

Ahhh....but if you've got enough common sense you can avoid that. I would always place the lock on the bike so that I couldn't get that momentum up (ex: against the caliper or fork)

If you're distracted enough, you'll pull away with the front tire never turning an inch!

I always thought the larger area is where they were supposed to go. I have a Xena also and thats where I put mine.
