Jonesing for a bike

The SV has been sold to Jeff now for what, a week? I'm dying to ride now. I'm at the point of thinking about renting a bike until I can buy another one. I'm literally going through bike withdrawals.

PS: one for one of the stops on my plan is to test ride a Benelli at National Powersports so i could meet up there at 10:30ish. oh yeah and i just found out that i am leaving at 9:00am

Oh man, I just got back from test riding a Street Triple (non-r) at Great Bay in NH. What a fantastic bike (minus the suspension). That motor is heavenly. No matter when you dip into the throttle the motor responds. So so so nice.

I'm very close to heading back there and buying the R version. The extra $500 is worth it for the suspension/brakes.

Anyone have any opinions of Great Bay? The sales guy was really nice (as was the owner) and there was zero pressure.

Nope, I was working with Chris. Very nice guy, and a huge enthusiast. The owner was floating around and talked with us a couple times (his name escapes me). Very cool guys. I was there near closing and they both were making it very clear that they wanted me to buy from them, and wanted to make me happy. Definitely in the top 5 best sales people I've dealt with.

Now I just have to bring myself to drop $9500 on something I don't really "need"

Have you looked at the Street Triple? its basically the sv650 and Speed Triple combined! I REALLY! wanted on, but couldn't find one used, and wasn't ready to drop 8k on a new one.

Other than that I vote GSX-R 600.

I know i will get an argument out of someone for saying this, but it is just a bike, I have insurance and it is lent out with the "You break it, you buy it" stipulation. as long as the insurance deductable gets covered if he screws it up then i really could care less about the 50 miles closer to an oil change i will be or the $0.03 worth of tires that would get used. (if there were burnout indications then we would have a discussion).

just my philosophy, If someone would let people test ride bikes then there would be a lot more happy bike owners out there. instead of just having to buy a bike and hope that you like it...


Besides if he buys the triple i might want him to return the favor of a ride in return
