Trailered the bikes down to Tennessee, stayed in Sevierville, rode through the Great Smoky Mountains National Park on Rt. 441, hauled down Rt. 19 to 28 and over to Rt. 129 and slayed the dragon. That road is absolutely ridiculous. I can't believe someone would pave a road that nuts, BUT I'M NOT COMPLAINING! Had an awesome time, no one went down (even though my buddy was riding on a brand new Bridgestone rear that he put on at Wheelers Cycles up the road from the dragon (due to a flat on his Dunflops)). Overall, a damn good ride, didn't get to do it twice though, the next day got messed up, so we just started driving to Panama City, FL.... where we are now looking at an endless field of great looking tail (sorry to all you ladies on the forum, but I am on Spring Break, and I am a guy). Have a good week everyone. I'm gonna start drinking (1:22pm).
.... and no, the bikes are locked on the trailer and are staying there the rest of the day.
Nice......im sure we all wish we were there.....lucky bastard

How was the weather at the Dragon? I need to get the fuck out of here and don't want to wait a month for things to warm up. Thanks
Weather is in the mid 60's, finished off my tires last weekend to the wear bars. Did almost 400 miles on a new loop from Chattanooga to the Dragon and back. Got my wheels back today with brandy new Pilot Power 2ct front and rear. The rain washed all the salt away, road is nice and clean.
Just a warning folks, THP got 5 times more grant money than they had last year due to their impressive "statistics" they accumulated.
There are a lot of other roads in the area that are as nice to ride. You may want to reconsider the Dragon if THP has 318 cops in eleven miles.
BTW, I am the yellow SV at the bottom of this page ...

I only touched the brakes twice on that run back. I am getting smoother.

Watch out for white vans with mirrored windows ...
They are taking video this year.
Make your first run nice and slow and scope out the territory first.
If you are at the store, ask for a sit-rep before going up.
hey, sorry for posting the topic and then dissappearing, didn't have much time on the computer while I was down there. I'm back home in good ol' Taxachusetts now. The road conditions were excellent, no salt/sand/debris on them at all. Didn't see a single cop the entire way from Rt. 74, down Rt. 28, and all the way out 129 back into Tennessee, but then again, it's sort of the "off season" still right now, so I'm sure they'll be stepping their presence up soon.
We didn't get too many pictures of us on the tail, we felt more like riding than taking pics, but the few I do have I'll post up within the week hopefully (gotta use my buddy's comp, mine is f*cked) The day after riding the whole area, we headed out to get a quickie in before loading up and traveling south to Panama City, but one of the guys with me ate a guard rail on Rt. 321 on our way to the dragon, wrecked the bike, but he's good to go besides a leg injury. Needless to say, we didn't get to ride it again... ohh well, I'll be stationed in P-cola, FL next year, so I'm sure the Sevierville area hasn't seen the last of me.
Happy Easter!
