    Nice.

Not exactly dry here as the two feet of snow on the ground is melting all over everything, but I rode to work today. Just too warm not to.

Here's hoping for an early spring!

You guys are riding??? The temps are great but the sand scares the shit out of me, not to mention just enough ice on the roads. If I could ride home in daylight and less traffic I'd be tempted....

It goes without sayin that we dealt with sand and wet but overall very doable. Just hard to regulate the right hand lol. Washed the bike today and waitin for the next one...

ice in the driveway, sand, snow melt and killer frost heaves in the road, SV650/325/650/325 for the first 15 minutes....and it was still an AWESOME ride!

That's why I love having a dual sport I don't care about pot holes or dirt or any of that crap.

ok, you guys got to me...even at 9:45pm it was 52+ degrees out!

this Yamaha, was really my best purchase in life...16 years old, but it still roared right to life without much hesitation, after being on the tender all winter

and let me tell you, that first ride of the season, after being off the street bike for so long, felt GREAT!

the danger factor was definitely there...sand...water...being invisible to cagers...but the shark's game just out around the downtown woosta area, and I got a lot of smiles, and "hey mister!" comments from little kids, so I rate the overall response as positive

Rode 2 work yesterday then got to do a pleasure ride today. Was awesome and had a blast. most of the sand is off of the main roads but i just am super cautious in any corners. make sure you can see the road and your all good. Pot holes are pretty bad just leave a good following distance and your all good. No ice on the roads at all it was 65 lol. plenty of water but that's no problem.

tell me about it, had my drive all nice, any icy spots were well sanded, then overnight, the sand dissapears under the ice and 2" loose powder coating over hard ice

I fell hard just walking out to my barn, I gotta clean my bike before I can ride, my bike got so grubby on my Stupidbowl Sunday Kanc ride that last weekend, I got standed with a frozen slave, had to leave it in my son's garage overnight to thaw before the clutch would release. I got a bunch of crud to clean just to get things working smoothly again

I guess thats the disadvantage to my darkside tire, it allows me to ride in any conditions (blizzard) that big clod of snow that builds up on yer inner fender behind the front wheel in a snowstorm... yes, it builds up just as quick on a bike

    Sprag failure
The sprag sounds like it is not engaging, but normally it will make a racket for a while before it just goes silent. IMO, you will have to perform more exporatory disassembly to be sure.
I was interested to hear that, in your motor, you do not have to split the cases. I had a 1996 885 Triumph Adventurer, and although I never had a sprag issue, I had read plenty about it and I was dreading the day it ever popped up as it involved removing the motor from the frame, and complete disassembly just to get at it.
