They got the Battlestar Gallatica look going just like the R1 this year. To many angles looks odd. Clean it up round it off. Doubt our DOT guys will let that open tire thing go as well.

Too radical for me. I think Duc is trying too hard to change the 748/9** style. I'll take my ol' 748 over that goofy lookin thing anyday.

Personally I think that it is ugly. I certainly would never buy one( not that I could ever afford one). I think they totally missed the mark with the nose of the thing.

Ducati has kind of dug their own hole -- the 916 and descendants were an impossible act to follow design-wise. Because of that history, and the fuss Ducati has made over it, the world is more interested in the styling of the new bike than in its mechanicals. So the designers went from round and smooth to edgy and layered. I think that look is going to date quickly -- AFAIK edge-obsessed style is an affectation ripped off from supersonic planes with no real function at subsonic speeds. (Not that I don't think the Aprilia Futura, for example, is a cool looking bike.) I'm surprised that Ducati hopped on that wagon now. I'm with outlaw -- "trying too hard" nails it.

Of course I will happily test ride one!
