    Thanks again for all your help everyone. I just found a local guy that is apparently a tech genius... we'll see. I might end up doing most of the work myself, but having someone who really knows what to look for (especially in a bike I have no experience with) would be a huge help.

    2V maintenance (which is what you'll be doing) is very easy. Changing belts can be done in about 30 minutes by someone ham-fisted like me. Valve inspections aren't much harder, though shimming them is obviously more difficult. Plugs, filters are a piece of cake (well except for the fuel filter, that sucks ass.)
