The assortments are great.
There's some good YouTube videos on how to properly insert foam earplugs, which is very important.

In the FWIW department:
A few weeks ago a friend and I rode down to Lowell Motorcycle Night. When I stopped by his house I almost couldn't get my foam earplug out becuase I had inserted it so far into my ear canal (my experience is: the farther in, the less noise). Anyway, this prompted me to experiment with putting the earplug in flat-end-first. This seemed to cut down noise as much if not more than round-end-first, and having the rounded end pointing outward made them easier to remove. Comfort level seems to be the same, so I guess until I hear of a reason not to do it, I'll keep wearing them "bass-ackwards".
