Ive bought two bikes at NPS. Denied the extended warranty on both. No issues so far. Had to "pay the man" on one expensive ducati service but it was after 6 years of trouble free ownership, and way outside the scope of what I'd attempt (electronic valve replacement inside the fork leg). I know my experience is just anecdotal, but just throwing it out there.

Nope - appreciate the anecdotes too!

So I bought the bike on Friday an declined the extra coverage, but I can get it at any time. They said within 90 days would be no problem, but beyond that they'd want to re-inspect the bike (for $50) before giving me coverage, which I would say is very reasonable.

I'm still thinking hard about it. It's not a 3rd party warranty, it's NPD's, and I can use it to get serviced at my local Triumph dealer (or anywhere I want). I have the full 4 page contract that I need to read carefully for any vague language or trickiness. I'm also going to call my local Triumph dealer and see what their experience has been with it (and also inquire if they offer their own coverage).

FWIW, you can typically negotiate the price of the warranty. At least that's what I did for all of mine.
