    Fallen Rider Central Ma

Dont know the person but sounds like a bad accident. Be careful out there. Lots of comments in the comment section, some positive and some not so positive. http://telegram.com/article/20090330...116/NEWSREWIND

blargh, that sucks. too early in the season for this crap, as far as i'm concerned .

RIP rider. that's a nice road, but decent passing areas are few and far between, IIRC

It amazes me how many times there are fatal accidents on this road. It has been shut down multiple times in the past couple years because of horrible accidents. The stretch between the lights of RT 12 and Rt 140 and the lights of Rt 140 and Rt 101(where the accident occurred) is fairly straight with stretches of climbing lanes north and south bound. It's just terrible to hear these kinds of things and my heart goes out to the family. We all just need to be aware of our surroundings and ride safe.
    RIP

This is the third time this year that there has been a crash on that corner that has closed the road for several hours. I checked out where it happened on my way to work this morning. It was just over the Winchendon line in Gardner heading south. There are now flowers at the scene. Looks like he pulled out to pass too early going south around the corner. Northbound is two lanes wide and he must have met the truck in the NB passing lane. Don't know what he was thinking, people going way too fast always cross the center line around that corner.

    RIP

I'm always sketched out on that corner because it is 2 lanes coming at you but you can still pass, I never do because I fear someone pulling out from behind a car coming northbound and not seeing me coming southbound whether in my car or truck. I tend to find traffic usually moves at a generous pace through there anyway. 5-15 MPH over.

    RIP
