Come on 220? Weak! You're clearly not riding enough. More more more.
The 250 is interesting on the highway, huh? I put a 42T rear sprocket on mine the other day to drop the highway rpms a bit
How do you like the 42T rear? I just did that tonight, and I only got about 10 miles in before deciding that my new back protector wasn't working with my pants (getting pushed up; I'm going to have to try adjusting fit some before I wear it again). Seemed decent for the 10 miles, although it's really noticeable starting from a dead stop and crawling around in a parking lot.
I didn't notice any sluggishness at all. I prefer 1st gear now, whereas before it was pretty pointless. If you want to drive more "spirited" then keep the rpms 500 or so higher than you would with the 45T.
Overall I am very pleased. I will keep the stock 14T front though.
First off congrats, welcome to our world. It is awesome to see more and more girls getting into the sport. I personally think it is great that you started a thread for this. You are excited and you chose us to share in your excitement, that's cool. My first bike was also a ninja 250 and it is the best bike to start on hands down. Shit, pull the clutch in on that thing and it is like riding a huffy! They are hilariously fun and I wish I still had mine kicking around. Enjoy your new ride and I hope to see you out there! Just ride safe and remember your gear.
So...I went on my first long ride Sunday. We did about 130-150 miles! So, my bike had got about 400 miles now!!
I'm thinking about getting a tank bag....but I don't want anything hug. Just need to carry wallet, phone, sunglasses, keys...I'm sick of stuffing everything in my pockets or carrying a back pack.
