well, with a newborn and a 2 year old, the bike sat mostly apart all summer. but i got her plastics fixed up and all painted perty and finally got to take my first ride of the year. few more little bits to work on, but ride-able, so out i went.
if anyone cares to see what she has been through, this link will show you.

otherwise, here is what she looks like now...

very nice bike!
very well done, looks like you put a lot of elbow grease into that thing and it sure shows. very nice!
cool bike. ironic though that you swapped for a 17inch wheel and used about the only decent rubber that comes in 18inch.
HAHA! You noticed that! Thats what i had on my bike before i swapped and i liked it, so i went with what worked. funny no one on my FZR site has put that together.
The hope was to hit some track days this year, but alas, time and money...
but next year i plan to take her out and see what she can do!
holy crap, that came out awesome!
great work, and let me knwo when then next FZR ride is...I have a '95 600
not sure how much the rear swing arm/tire and frame swap affects it, but in stock form, on the track she did just fine!

the swinger added about 3/4 and inch, def noticeable on the highway. unfortunately i had been unable to make any track days before the build, but plan to next year. she seems to dive into turns better now, but i also shortened up my forks a bit.
Breakdirt, hopefully we will get another ride together, sadly some people think they need to update their bikes to ducatis and ninjas, so the original 5 from the rides we used to have is down to 2, one not looking quite so much like an fzr anymore!(i wonder who that could be). still trying to get out as much as possible before the leaves hit the ground, but with 2 kids and wife working opposite schedule, it has been tough.
I still swerve and rip my head around when i'm driving when i see an FZR in all its stock glory. if you havent checked it out yet, jump on over to FZROnline.com and say hi, lots of knowledge there, and extra parts!
