On Christmas eve no less. Coming up 3A and a cager must not have seen me as he pulled right into my lane and I grabbed the front brake a little too much, road was a lil slick. Handle bars cut left and pulled my right wrist, bike went down on the left and I slid a good 50-60ft.
Rashed up my knees and back real nice and broke my wrist in three places.
Could have been a lot worse so thank science it wasn't. Bike doesn't seem too worse for wear.
Happy holidays! I'm gonna pop another perc and watch the bruins
Speedy recovery.

Heal quick, it's a tough time of year. Despite the warm weather no one is looking for bikes.

Heal up. I think you're supposed to drink a lot of medicinal Bourbon.

I often laugh when I hear this because I don't think cagers are ever actually looking for us no matter what time of year or how many bikes are out.
Sorry to hear bout your get off, but it happens to all of us eventually, you are lucky your able to tell the story of what happened. I truly believe having a crash makes you a better rider, I know I learned a lot from my low side last fall, just don't let it scare you away from this sport we all love!!
just tell everyone that you "had to lay it down". makes it sound like you did it on purpose.

That sucks, but glad you did not get injured more seriously. Should be good to go for Spring.
It was after one such, ahh, "detour" that I started buying road bikes with ABS brakes. Crashing hurts....
