Icon doesn't seem to have the best rep from what I've heard. I think I'm going to get this once I get the money:

    TonysTrackDays.com

Custom made, good price, and great protection from what I've read.

Defintiely a big agreement with the Impact Armor. For the same price as an off the shelf back protector you can get yourself a back and chest protector custom fit to your body.

I got mine done a month ago and Mike from Impact Armor was awesome. Very good communication and expedited the shipping for me cause I needed it for my coming race weekend.

Quality, custom fitment, good communications. A++++ do yourself a favor and get your back protector from him. That ICON vest is basically a wife beater with some plastic attached.

I obviously like the Impact Armor stuff.

I'm even trying to get a set made for me for the KLR on the street/dirt. (needs to be longer in the front and shorter in the back than the sportbike version, due to different riding position)

The ICON will pass tech, but there is certainly better performing stuff out there.

You can't beat impact armor, mike takes his work seriously. he called me twice to make sure my measurements were correct, and then follow by sending sample templates to try on. And I think there is a TonysTrackDay discount.

Note: You'll need to order early and to keep on top of your order, took Mike 2+ months to get my done.

but hack, I love it. top racers like colin edwards and nicky hayden use it.

you can't go wrong with impact armor.
