will be looking for some new leathers after this season, seems there's a buncha killer deals going on w/ FirstGear stuff at various places online. brings to mind a coupla questions:
- anyone own / know of someone w/ either FirstGear Z-Pilot or Flightline or Ergo Tech gear? any comments?
- is there any place in Eastern MA that carries FirstGear (I haven't seen any), so I could see or try on some stuff to find out how their sizes run?
thanx...

I know motomarket has some last time I checked , but that's not really eastern MA.
brockton cycles carries some first gear too , but i dunno if they carry the ones you want.
Think both Brockton Cycles and Cycles 128 carry First gear. But don't know how Cycles 128 is to deal with.
My ride's
95 FZR 1000
19xx DOUBLE "D"
(sold) 02 CBR600 F4i (track bike)
06 Chevy Supercharged Cobalt SS
Cycles128... doesn't. in fact, they don't carry much leather (except cruiser) at all there any more...
neither MM or Brockton appear (from their websites) to carry both the models I wanna look at, but may hafta go there and see what I can see...
what I'm hoping to find is anyone here w/ experience of FirstGear-- either their own or someone else's-- to get an idea of how smokin' the deals are that I'm seeing. are they on a par w/ JR? more like Dainese quality? Spidi? etc.

motomkt carries alot more than what is listed on their site... never quite understood why they don't make their site match what they carry...
Have owned first gear before, and its high quality stuff, although for the price range I would be looking for used Vanson's... but thats just me... Its better quality than my current fieldsheer, but its not as nice as Vanson...
But when we ride very fast motorcycles, we ride with immaculate sanity. We might abuse a substance here and there, but only when it's right. The final measure of any rider's skill is the inverse ratio of his preferred Traveling Speed to the number of bad scars on his body. It is that simple: If you ride fast and crash, you are a bad rider. If you go slow and crash, you are a bad rider. And if you are a bad rider, you should not ride motorcycles.
They are comfortable, I had a First Gear Cybersport Jacket (from Cycles 128) and it saved my skin during a low side, held up pretty good except for one shoulder seam and the vent zipper under the arm. First Gear leathers are made by Hien Gerick. But as stated by hohum they are pricey, ($550.00 eight years ago). Bought Vansons and like them much better, and cost is about what I paid for the First Gear.
