2009 Ford F150 extended cab with a 6' bed?
I know it would be tight to say the least but if I had one bike face forward and the other facing the tailgate, would both go in?
The reason I ask is that a buddy of mine bought a bike which is in Rhode Island right now. We are both in Maine. I would like to take my bike to RI to ride with some people down there then transport BOTH bikes back to Maine at the end of the weekend.
The reason he's not riding it up here is that it's not registered/insured. I work at a rental car company and have free access to said pickup truck. What are my chances this will actually work in my favor?
Anyone ever tried this before with success?

About one in the pickup then borrow/rent a trailer to put the second bike on? Idk if it would be safe or hell if 2 bikes would fit either way in the back of any pickup unless its a dually.
I regularly put two bikes plus gear in the back of my F-150 with the short bed. You've got plenty of room.

, they will definitely fit. Tailgate isn't closing though, forget all about it. Tie them down well & forget about it. I've done it quite a few times.
If I could manage 2 in the back of my old Ranger you can manage with a fullsize truck!![]()
My duc fits perfect in the F-350 with the tailgate shut, and I have a 6' bed.

As I said, my bad. Truck I was thinking of must have a sub 6' bed. Carry on.
One strap to each anchor on the floor up front of the bed? For both bikes?
Lately, with my motards Ive been running the closer strap to the anchor, the further strap to the mount thing on top of the bed rail so a strap isnt sitting on the rotor, but my bikes are tall so I dunno if that would work for a sport bike.
No problem, my ? did imply I wanted an answer. I suppose I did. I don't know.
As for how, I've always gone all the way across with both bikes. Running the strap over the other bike to the far side is always a bitch, but we've gotten it done in the past. Additional tie down points are awesome, but it doesn't sound like that's an option for you.
As has been said, I fit 2 bikes in the bed of my truck all the time. I do have the advantage of a long bed but your width is the same as mine. I just have room for a pit pike and can close the tailgate
