Just a friendly reminder that Assen is a Saturday race.
THANK YOU!!!! I was all pissy last night looking for it on Fox Sports 1 this sunday....
Rossi thinks he can win the championship this year, watch out - fireworks!

I mean he did secure pole today and took nearly a second out of Stoner's previous pole record there. Been top in most of the practices. Bet he will find something extra as he does during warmup tomorrow.
He's won from the 3rd row twice and podium 100% of the races so far this season. Assen is one of his best/fav tracks - I cant wait to be up to watch it tomorrow. Will be good.
Thank you! I would have missed it....again.
And I LOVE the Assen track!! Remember Hayden and Edwards battling for the win and Edwards losing it on the last corner on the last lap....man that was exciting! Was 2006, right?
You can only watch it if you're a member, but motogp posted rossi's flying lap from on board. It is a thing of beauty. I can see why the riders all love Assen and that the Yamaha's are so fast here. There are so many long corners with maintenance throttle, compared to the all-to-common stop and go tracks of motogp.

***Spoiler****
I wish Marquez wasn't wearing a helmet so I could see his expression after that last chicane in the race. I know he never expected Rossi to pull that shit off.
hahahahahahah
Vale is a fucking god. "Rolling over the field"
Good to see they are moving it to Sunday next year. No chance of missing it.

At first I thought Marc was in the right, that Rossi messed that one up, and that race direction was playing favorites. Then I watched the press conference and a reporter asked Marc what he was going to do for the second part of the chicane, the left, and it got me thinking. Marc's response was that we would have closed the door on Rossi. I started to play it out in my head....there would not have been a door to close. Marc never got cleanly passed him. They would have been right next to each other, side by side, and Marc would either need to run wide to let Rossi in (giving Rossi the win) or he would need to push him off the track to the inside (which would probably have gotten Marc DQed or at least penalized). I personally think it was a poor spot to pass and a last ditched effort to win the race. But by no means am I complaining. This is what makes this sport exciting, and it was a racing incident where the outcome justified the action.

MM93 honestly put his front tire there hoping to either punt VR46 off or worse, one or BOTH crash. There was no way in hell with MM's race craft that knowing a deep late dive on the inside at that chicane will shoot him on line for the next one, both were going to run wide if not crash.
I read the Dave Emmet report on motomatters.com and it says that through race direction VR46 was in the lead the entire time up to and through that point of touch. He had the line, MM did not. Honestly it was a great race and to see VR exploit that new chassis and seeing him on form ALL weekend instead of just the race was great to watch.
Heading into Germany with a 10 point lead over JL99? I chalk that up as a great weekend!
