Forget about the price, I'm made of money!
Forget about octane, my bike runs on anything!
Forget about location, it seems to be all the same crap!
Forget about it all!
Is Mobil gas any better than Citgo or any other?
Up north one chain has a reputation, same here? Avoid this or that?

eat it...?
but seriously...the additives in Gas are giving lots of people with high out-put engines some serious issues...drop in gas mileage, over-heating, moisture build-up, etc...I for one am getting ripped shit about it. Ethanol is great for your everyday 87/89 octane commuter, but I cringe everytime I hit the pump...and I stay as far away from Mobile as I can...bastids!

Every single gas station in your area gets the same gas from the same place. All of those special additives they advertise are added after the fact. I read somewhere that those additives do little to nothing because they are not added during the refining process. They said that adding a can of octane boost or fuel injector cleaner will actually do more than what they add in the tanker truck. There are very few stations I avoid like the plague and that is because they are run down and it doesn't look like they maintain their tanks underground. Besides that I only avoid stations when they are getting filled because when they are filled they loosen up all the crap that settled to the bottom of the tank and it can clog your filter.

#1. If it smells like anything its no clean so just walk away!
I try and avoid 2 types of gas stations.
A) Anything with a name I never heard of. If its got a name brand sign(Mobil, Exxon etc) then at least I can make the futile attempt of complaining to them.
b) Citgo. Venezuela-owned, Chavez uses it to finance his campaign against us. Not that others places do not as well but He just irritates me so why help him line his pockets

You are right, but it's not added in the truck, it's added in the lines on the way to the truck at the terminal when your loading, but gas is gas is gas.. the additives are the only difference, it all comes fromt he same tank/tanks when your loading.. now if they have some issue with the tanks in the ground at the gas station that is something else, but that reall isn't a problem anymore as per most states all gas stations have had to update there tanks to the new fiberglass double hull type with sensors that pic up event he smallest amount of water in the tank, and they have to keep a printed record for the EPA and State DEP..
It certainly can and does vary. But to say that Mobil gas is better than the cheap generic brand across the street may be wrong. I've seen gas trucks full the tanks at once place and go do the same across the street. One thing you may want to watch out for is places that have inaccurate quantity gauges (or whatever you call em). I've read about places that need 6 gallons to fill a 5 gallon can. I'd be a lot more worried about that than slightly different additives.
