Impressive showing from a privateer down in Daytona. This should be his big chance.
Good luck!
Holy hell those are fast times.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
Yep... He is feeling fine. I spoke to him today and says the bike is "there".

And fourth in the other race I saw, he was leading it for a while. Congrats! Great job!

Great job Geoff! What a story..This guy is Scotty's boy, and I remember when I met Scotty that he told me about this guy, he was a privateer, who always seemed to run into issues like both his motors blowing up in one weekend, etc. This guy overcame adversity and now look where he is! What an awesome showing by the little guy...DiSalvo better watch out. And I bet Bostrom is PISSED!!!

I read an article in RRX yesterday about Steve Rapp from Jordan Suzuki. This guy is north of 35 yrs old, and he is still damn fast. I see his name on the list you posted Paul. This guy deserves all that he achieves as well.

I first met Geoff in 2000 at Talladega GP in Alabama. He was 19 years old and recovering from a severe crash he sustained at Daytona during the race of champions. He had a broken leg and clavical. He was at a track day that myself and Keith Marshall were participating in. I'll never forget watching him pop a few pain killers, suck down a beer and jump on a lil' aprilia SR 50 scooter and do a few slow laps during the lunch break. Keith introduced me and we started talking racing along with everything else. Shortly after we all started hanging out and the rest is history.

I know it is probably my fault for even looking in this post in the first place but could a SPOILER tag be put on the heading of any posts that may contain race results from races that have been run recently.
I have the superstock race on DVR at home and haven't had a chance to watch it so if this post had been correct and told me the winner it would have put a slight damper on the enjoyment of watching the DVR'd race later.
Again, probably my fault but it would be cool to see this in the future.
Thanks
Joel
very good idea joel. Guess we didn't know this was going to turn into a reace results thread.

Superbike is 11:00am this morning. I've been sitting on my ass for a couple nights straight watching Moto and road racing from daytona. Nice coverage from Speed.
Rapp is fast...but I am more impressed with Duhamel. The guy is faster now than he was 20 years ago when he first started.
May looks real fast. If not for overshooting a couple turns, he'd have been on podium. His gixxer is crazy fast on the banking.

zoinks... how bout that Duamel? Showed quite a "flair" goin through turn 1 in the 200 race a few minutes ago, eh?
And how bout that guy that brought out the pace car.. that was one helluva salute he gave to everyone when he stepped outta the ambulancewonder if they'll have that on the highlights reel
