Why didn't I buy this thing years ago. It's the best thing yet!! What a nice comforatable, relaxed ride, when your back is not cold!!
Funny thing is, I think mine is somehow short circuited and effecting the throttle somehow...![]()
You should try the jacket... Sleeves, mmmmm, heated sleeves. I got one of each. Oh, and get some grip heaters too. Cheap and just as wonderful as the vest.
I have the grips too :droolOriginally posted by stoinkythepig

Well, now all you need is Held Hawk gloves and a 'stich and you can be as dorky as I am...![]()
who needs heated gear at this time of year?![]()
i think I'd rather have the pants then the vest. The rest of me stays warm. maybe next year.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
Hows about a linky to this wonderfull gear you speak off.
I wonder though, how they are under jeans for commuting. Seems like if my core is warm the rest is bearable.Originally posted by hessogood

I ordered it many weeks ago, and due to my own error, it was delayed. I received it yesterday and wanted to try it out.Originally posted by bump909

Besides, we are in New England afterall, and this warm weather is not here to stay yet and I live and work near the ocean...those early morning rides to work past the beaches and over the bridge still can be quite chilly.
bigred has a linky to some heated gear as well and it is a little less expensive and I believe it can be installed in your current jacket.
I wear my Gerbings any time it's below 60 F. Don't always turn it on though. The Heattroller makes it easy to stay comfy too.Originally posted by bump909

check my sig...she does a great job and can wire whatever you want her too(even a "stich" suit)...for a fraction of gerbing prices. She uses the same stuff as them too i rode 12/14 this year and it was around 28 when i started out....worked great!Originally posted by rjh200

I have the liner for my columbia jacket done and a pair of these - http://www.newenough.com/joe_rocket_...glove_page.htm
the cool thing is she uses batt. tender connections so all you need to do is connect it there if you have a tender...
the best place I have found to buy Gerbings is at http://www.vencowings.com/cgi-bin/miva.cgi?/Merchant2/merchant.mv+Screen=SRCH&Store_Code=VWL&Search=Gerbing
their prices are competitive and they have stuff in stock to try on
they are only a few miles from the tract, on rt 129 in Loudon

I have my gerbing heated jacket liner and LOVE it!!!

2020 BMW R1250GS Adventure Exclusive
1982 Honda CB750F Super Sport
We are not even close to out of heated jacket season yet...
I haven't used mine in a while but I wouldn't dream of going on a multi-day overnight ride without it.
All it takes is a 40 degree rainy day in the middle of your trip and you will be wearing that heated jacket all day.
I must be a total wimp. I have used mine every morning since I started commuting to work by bike 3-4 weeks ago. Generally stays in the tank bag in the afternoons though.
Like ben sez, always bring heated gear on a multi day trip even in the hottest part of the summer
down at deals gap, 70-80° in the lowlands might be 45° at 6000 ft on the cherohala,
rain is another reason, no need to be cold & wet when you can be warm & wet![]()

I just sold all of mine and renee's heated gear
(jacket, pants, gloves, socks)
I don't think I'll be street riding for awhile, otherwise I would have kept them.
NOTHING beats a full set of heated gear when riding in the cold or wet (under rain suit, of course)
It's one thing to "not be cold" ... it's another thing to be comfortably warm.![]()
How long ago did you say you were done with track riding and were going to do the street riding?Does that mean you sold the Gold Wing when you got the CBR?
done with track riding?
I don't think I ever said that.
I loved the GoldWing... just was time to move on.
I'm thinking a convertible car for a while. The track days and the dirt bike give me enough two wheel fun.
hmm... bought an RR... now selling the goldwing then buying a convertable...... anyone else thinkin "M.L.C."? I thought you were too old for one of those

Is it even possible for a motorcycle racer to have a midlife crisis?![]()
MLC kind of implies a boring buttoned-down life.

I like to think... 1/3rd life crisis.
I gotta hit 120 years before I die, right?
120 years old? You're married, right? Don't think so, i'm sure she'll kill ya long before then![]()
