I travel to CR for business occasionally and a friend mentioned dirt biking there. I've done a little research and haven't found much except Costa Rica Unlimited, so I guess it seems to be the place to go. Anyone ridden there? Recommendations?

Some friends of mine who are excellent woods and mx riders did this around 8 years ago. Not sure what company, but I know they were around the Jaco/Playa Hermosa area. They said they had an absolute blast. With the terrain around there, I'm not suprised!

Yes, I have been there. Mostly adventure riding with buddies on an XR250 Tornado and DR650 bikes. Beautiful country, safe and relatively inexpensive. We used Wild Rider in San Jose - a german guy runs it and my experience was overall very good. He gave us advise on where to go.

Wild rider worked for us. I stuck inland by arenal. I didn't care for coast around playa del coco. Our trip got a lot better once we headed inland from the coast.
Be careful of the police though. We got caught up in a lot of check points. Make sure you always have you paperwork.
Thanks for the replies and advice. I'm not sure when my next trip down there will happen, but I'm looking forward to extending it a few days for some riding.
