Dude i cannot wait for the riding season to get started. I am probably going to be going to Virginia on a bike trip with my buddy. Should be a good time. I pretty much just winterized the bike and i start it up once a week. I'm VERY excited to finally get out there again!
Hope to see some of you on the roads![]()

ok, so i went to the Weman residence for a quick 5 hours to install the speedohealer and damper. lesson learned: dont ask me to help install the speedohealer.
here the front nose bracket, and both fairings are off. the stock damper is back on. we took it off till realizing the new damper is over the tank, so both hypropro and OEM damper is installed
speedohealer installed FINALLY
installed the hypropro damper
close up
both dampers are in. someone tell me if there are any cons to having both installed?

hmm.. two dampers? Interesting question. If it were me I'd sell the stocker on ebay. Can't immagine why you'd ever need that much damping ability. I'm sure w/ the GPR damper set to its lowest setting you'd be more than stable enough for just about anything.
Too much damping means it's more resistant to steering inputs & you risk reducing front end feel. I'm sure someone can elaborate more on it. I'm not well versed in the subject.
side note: take all of those damn keys off your keyring! Yer scratchin the top triple to hell!I can't stand carrying multiple keys.

well here's the reasoning we came up with. the hypropro should kick in before the OEM. if the hyperpro is junk, then it's easier to remove that one and i already have the OEM one still on.
I have to have all my keys on one ring. i would be that guy that leaves his bike key in the ignition when i get off the bike. i've actually done that a few times already, and luckily noticed when i needed my house key or gym tag.
Yeah I do that too sometimes... I'm tryin to get in the habbit of turning the bike off w/ the key so I don't forget it.
I just really hate having keychains w/ multiple keys. Especially w/ a bike key that isn't used as often as the rest. Just a little quirk of mine.... house keys in one pocket... car key & key fob in the other... bike key at home on the dresser.

the triple was already scratched up when i got it. i dont think my keys have mess that triple up that bad.
side note: i used honda polish on the bike and it came out great! nose and left fairing are at the body shop getting paint, so i wont be able to wash the bike for a while.
startin your bike without riding it is the worse thing you can do to your bike over the winter
winterize means put it up, do not start till spring, take battery out and use a battery tender to keep it maintaines, it takes 20-30 minutes of riding just to recharge the juice it took to start the bike, at idle, the sharging system barely puts out enuf to keep the bike running and does almost nothing to recharge the battery

I started last March
I finally got my New Pistons machined to fit last October.
Not enough tools to dial /adjust my new SPS cams so i WATCHED the BCM mechanic dial them this past December.Took me about two weeks to finish(in between Jack Daniels).Rode about a mile.Runs ok,but still needs Throttles synced and rings broken in before Dyno tuning.
I now have 13:1 pistons,SPS cams in ported/port matched heads,PC-III USB,Blackstonetek wheels/w Braketech AXIS ceramic rotors with Diablo corsa-III tires.
Looks like this now:
GOD,i missed this bike last season.Buells' are cool though, and kept me happy.

I've been off of it for too long.Frustrating trying to source parts from Italy and other parts of the world.Missed a whole season. If i remember correctly it was a HOOT.Should be better now...i hope. The whole process of claying the pistons and measuring for minimum clearances was fun.But i must have assembled/re-assembled the pistons/heads 7 times before all was measured adjusted as far as squish band adjustment and piston to valve clearance. It should be just above 13:1 CR.
I hate paint guys'.While they display great talent, they too take WAYYYYYY to long to paint our parts. But in the end,new paint is always satisfying

I can't find both sets of my keys. I'm getting pissed off! Went to start the bike today and take it out of my basement.....Never put them on a key ring (didn't want to scratch my bike at all). I can't imagine how hard it must be to get an extra set of keys from Ducati in Italy or how long it would takeActually I can imagine!
