the GirlFriends new Toy!

Here's the Girfriends new bike.

2007 gsxr 600. Out the door price brand new for $7950.

We brought her home a couple weeks ago, and just as planned, we tore it apart the first day to start getting it ready for her!


3" lowering link in the rear, ~1" lowered forks in front, Frame sliders direct mount, Tinted front and rear turn signals, Tinted brake light with chinese "LUCK" outline, Painted the rear undertail Bubblegum Pink, and the 600cc, GSXR, and SUZUKI vinyls in Pink. Also, i made a 'custom' rear fender eliminator and license plate bracket. And, because we lowered it, i had to chop the kickstand down and fab/weld up a new one too. Also, we tried fixing the "warped" fender/hugger, but i melted it a bit too much. We later found out it wouldn't fit with the bike lowered this much anyway, so we EightySixed it.

34 miles on her so far.

For a chick, what would you rate this, on a 1-10?













And yes, she HAD to lower it. She's got a real short inseam, and couldn't even walk the bike while on it, or back it up. Now she's just barely touching flat footed.

Looks tight...get rid of those tires and trow a set of Pilots on it..and the huggers are notoriously warped

Nice bike. 3 inches is a lot to lower a bike. Yes I know its nice to be able to flat foot but the thing is going to handle like a truck. She will probably have a harder time riding and turning it then she should. There is someone here you can ask that has the experience. She on dropped her bike 4 or 5 times before I got my hands on it and fixed it for her.

hmmm two inches lower in the the rear

I find going just 5mm one way or the other makes
a noticable difference. Making the rear so much lower will
totally make that thing steer like a supertanker,
you sure you want to do that? Well at least she can flat foot

Sadly, i did go on the GDC site, just because i was trying to find information on swappable rear links. I couldn't understand why most were 30-40$, but the 06 and 07 gix600 link was $100+

None of those nig nogs had an answer.

Anyway, i love my bike. She loves hers.
The only way we'd both be going on the pink Gix is if we moved the link up. (we almost bottom it out together on the lowest link)

But yea, i think it would be gay for me to ride on it solo. haha.
I like my one up street fighter, and i think we'll convert hers to permanent one up also.

GDC, i think, is mainly for showing your bike off and getting comments lol. I use Maximum-suzuki.com for my Bandit-tech info, and here for local stuff and laughing at all you guys bustin on me and each other. I love reading this site.
