I must confess that I'll always like my old Concours and was prepared to not like the new one, but it seems like they did a nice job with it and the price is pretty reasonable. I'd love to have ABS...
Maybe when my 9R is worn out.
Werd, I saw that on the kawi website a while back & knew it was gonna be giving the FJR a run for it's money
sharp lookin bike... but the curve & taper of the windscreen looks a little funny to me.

Agreed about the windscreen. Truthfully, the styling of much of the bike leaves me flat. According to the article, the windscreen works perfectly. That matters more to me than how it looks.
I kinda like it as well...... but from behind the damn thing looks bigger than Starr Jones after a donut binge!!!

Nault's had a silver one at Motorcycle night this past week. The guy let me sit on it and go over it with a fine toothed comb. In person, the bike looks very nice and is extremely comfortable to sit on. One of the features that I though was pretty cool is there are pressure sensors embedded in the wheels which give you a real time display of tire pressure in the dash.
My biggest gripe is the muffler is very long. It looks ok when the saddle bags are mounted but when they are removed, the muffler sticks out past the tail of the bike. Hopefully Akrapovic or Arata will address that. The engine is also significantly detuned from the ZX-14 but I'm sure the mileage is significantly better on it.
The guy from Naults was about 6'2" and he said the windshield in the full up position forced the air into his face but other than that it is a pleasure to operate. There are no demo bikes in the area but he said test rides are always available for people with a serious interest in the bike.
ABS will add only $800 to the price which is a bargain compared to most ABS motorcycles. The ABS bikes will still have independent front and rear brakes.
If I hadn't just bought a house, I would probably be waiting in line to get one. I really like what they have done with the Concourse.

I am hoping to test ride one very soon!!! It is a beautiful bike and could possibly replace the RC.
After seeing the one at bike night i would consider buying one as a touring toy
Man, we're all gettin' old...
Thinking high 30s, low 40s. My old Conc gets 41 but it's got carbs.
One thing that bothers me about this bike, it's gonna eat tires unless you are really gentle with the throttle. Pushing 850 lbs of bike and rider with the kinda torque that thing makes will just murder the rear tire. Stopping that thing with ABS (I know I'm gonna make the ABS kick in all the time just to stay used to it) is gonna put huge stress on the front tire.
My 9R gets 47 MPG if anyone cares.
i've come to the conclusion that when i'm older, i will have 2 bikes in my stable, one will definitely be a sport tourer (beemer or concourse or something similar), and the other will be an around-town/back roads blaster (hopefully by then it'll still be my SV650S that I just picked up)
hurray, strikethrough!

interesting. not playing to the Goldwing crowd, but the sport touring crowd, which is not what I would have expected.
Looks like a sport-tourer to me

Is it me or is the test rider in all those pics counter leaning?
Does it include the bags? I know they aren't included with the FJR and are quite a pricey addition.
Well, when all you geezers decide to convert, I'll be with you. We can head down to the dragon and drag hard parts all over those 318 turns.
