Brought the bike home today!

I had Dave ride it home cause I didn't want to go through concord and the highway just yet.

I got on once we got home though and cruised around my little town! Wow, to be a newbie all over again and have the jitters! It is such a nice bike. The last time I rode was 2003!

Even Dave was having a blast on it on the way home from national powersports. He is getting a Harley from them in the next few days but said, hmm, maybe I'll get a sport bike too!

I opted not to ride it to work tonight because its f-cking cold out.

Grabbed a jacket today and some gloves from freedom cycle. They actually have a good sale going on right now. Hopefully I'll get some pics up later tonight!

if you wanna go new, see Patricia at Seacoast Sport Cycle in Derry. It's where I got all my stuff (new onsie, jacket, boots, back protector, helmet, gloves, etc. )

went for a 40 mile ride today. I feel so good on this bike. Still figuring out best hand position of the throttle and the body. still a little jerky shifting gears, and trying to remember which gear i am in. the bike is so smooth though. it was wicked windy today and it didn't push me over! that was my biggest reason for getting a 600 instead of a 500! love it.

now, next on list is boots - using my limmers right now, and pants, been riding in jeans but i either want the armored jeans, or to find some pants that go over them with the guards.

while i was riding i was putting together a check list for myself when i go riding.

big rings removed from hand - hurts with gloves on
earings getting caught in the helmet - need to adjust before i start to ride
tuck hair back up into helmet - again before i ride

i'm loving it!
