After a few months of bike shopping I am picking up my 06 cbr 1000rr tomorrow!! Took care of the insurance side of things today. So now Hopefully this snow melts as fast as it fell. I was pretty set on a ducati 848 and found a fantastic deal on one with 800 or so miles at all star cycles in Marlboro, it was such a good deal that it was sold after a week and before I got a chance to call on it. Long story short a black fairly low miles cbr caught my eye, extra clean with some real tasteful mods. Pics to come!!
I can say all star is great to deal with and I highly recommend them, I paid a little more then I should of but I don't think I'll ever see another 06 this clean.
Ehh. Fuck it. I haven't owned a GSX-R in a couple years.

Nice bike, Mike!
Too bad, though. Green is still the faster color.![]()
Go fast. Have fun. Repeat.
Welcome to the CBR1000 club!![]()

That place is just down the street from me and I've never been. I guess I should go check it out.
Well it's official, I picked up my cbr a few hours ago!! If anyone is looking for a new bike then go to all star cycles and talk to Sergio( I in no way stand to gain anything just wanna spread a good word), they have a great selection and a large inventory even dirty toys too.
I still can't believe that bike is mine, given its 9 years old but you'd never know it by looking at it, it's got roughly 8k miles on it which is almost exactly what I put on my zx6 just over this summer.
This weekend I am gonna go through it, set all the controls and suspension for me and with any luck there will be a 40 degree day soon so I can put a few miles on it. I got a feeling I'm gonna be changing rear tires a lot now that I have a liter bike, it's got the regular pilot powers on it now but I'll be ordering a set of power 3's soon cause I been really wanting to try them out. anyone know of any sales at the moment?
congrats on the new bike.
COngrats on the CBR... I picked up an 08 600rr right before it got to cold to ride. Got in 1 rip up and down rt 3 and had to put it away.
"Could you elaborate on that a bit? Just telling me not to run a specific tire, and giving me no true logical explanation is like telling me I'm going to get my dick sucked tonight, and not by whom."
I've got a ton of street parts if you need anything, integrated tail light, flushmount blinkers, etc...

It has nothing to do with the power, well a little bit, but mainly because I have a full exhaust system and I also want to be able to optimize my fuel ratio for a smoother running motor. More power is just an added benefit
I also have almost 2 complete sets of full gear so I'm pretty covered there, literally

Ok.. I guess I shouldnt be too skeptical. I just know I have put aftermarket pipes on bikes and gutten catalytic converters and seen no different in idol or smoothness of throttle.
I've witnessed the benefits of a power commander on a few different bikes.
It's amazing how shitty a bike can run with the wrong fueling...
