nope...that is illegal. You should still be ok unless they really want to talk to you...the fact it is horizontal helps you out...

edit - i just noticed the hinge dealy you have going on...thats just asking for trouble. criminal charge - concealing the identity of a vehicle kinda trouble... I got charged with that on a friends bike last year and his was a standard undertail mount(there is a thread about it)..... imo if you must have your plate like that...put it on the swingarm..

Dude I'm not arguing... I do this for a living... it's a ball busting thing if you get a ticket... but it is illegal....

see, it doesnt take up any space, and if i ever dont want my plate to be seen, i can twist it like this (it will only do this with some human efort, not the wind)

Now you just need to hook it up to a servo-motor so you can electronically retract it while riding with the push of a button to escape the piggiess!!!!

I had one mounted there on 02 GSXR600. Unbolted it and cut the wires for a track day and never put it back. Couple "L" brackets on the undertail would look much better!

There was NO CHROME on my 600!



Unfortunately all you can tell from the pics is the plate isn't where it was supposed to be. Loved the Yoshi pipe, TRE, Power Commander and -1 gearing but hated those white rims!



Miss that bike though ... almost brought a tear to my eye to see it again.

damn, well thata bout puts an end to the discussion i suppose. all i know is that i took my bike for a sticker, they gave me one...thats it....what else can an officer do when im standing there with my registration and passing sticker
