repost, but still amazing!
Not overly impressed. RandyO did about 150,000 on a pretty stock, OEM SV650. If you've ever seen the size of Randy, THAT would impress you. No offense to Randy, of course...![]()
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
jeez...bet he's good for a hemorrhoid or two.
Cool.....wasn't a repost to me![]()

I'd like to know how many tires, chains, sprockets, brake pads etc he went through. That's just awesome.
Friend of mine showed me an article about a guy who rides year round in MA (I think) on a BMW motorcycle. I'll see if I can find that...
Isn't this guy a member here??? Maybe on the "other" forum...
I'm friends with him on Facebook... Jared Penttinen...
His bike actually just turned 210k...
Pretty cool.
"Life is a tour, not a race... just stay out of my way when I'm touring!"
I have respect for that guy. I bought my Ninja with just a hair under 15,000 miles and in that first "season" of riding, which was only 10 weeks sadly, I managed 11,000 miles and change, then the second season with the bike, which started in March of 2010 and ended in Late October maybe early November with a lot less "rides" like the previous season due to my daughter being around and devoting every other weekend to her, I managed to tack on another 15 or 16,000 miles. I was happy with that.
It's funny because until very recently I wanted to sell the bike and "be rid" of it before I return from Korea so I can move onto something newer/lighter/nicer/etc but for some reason now I just want to have my bike fixed up and maybe wait another year or so after I return to buy something new, that way I don't have to "rush" into a new bike because I'm bike less when I get home. Who knows what'll happen though.
Sorry for the long post, thanks for sharing.
I wonder how many bikes get over 100,000 and then are sold as low mileage bikes.
That would be a pretty shitty move.

Yes sirI'm on both, though I haven't posted much lately, I still lurk around, lol
Thanks everyone for the comments.... she's definitely been a fantastic bike! And certainly been through 'a few' of the consumables (tires, chain/sprockets, brake pads, etc). Never once broken down or left me stranded though.
Anyways, if anybody is curious as to where alot of the mileage came from, here's a few of my ride reports and a few other little rides

I guess I should also add that we both did our first trackday back in Feb down at PBIR in West Palm Beach, Florida. I was slow and my body positioning totally sucked, but I had an absolute BLAST and am totally hooked... plus I learned a ton of stuff just over the course of the one day. Planning on doing more here in the very near future
She was at 206,800 here.... ran strong as could be all day, didn't miss a beat!
My buddy Kurt and I.... he came down into novice to work with me some. And yes, I need to get my right foot back... bad bad habit
I wasn't going all that fast, but still got a few little tire dingleberries
Great great GREAT times..... more trackdays to come! Here's the rest of the pics from the trackday.... I was sooo nervous at the beginning, lol

I do indeed.... work full time for Ford as a diesel technicianHad a couple short periods in '08 and '09 where I was out of work after getting laid off (in which time I did LOTS of roadtrips, lol), but other than that I've had a full time job since 2000 (after I graduated HS). When I first got my bike I was working full time and going to school full time as well until mid 2005

I had a CBR600f2 that got to like 98K with year round commuting of 75m each way and did some track time on it. It was stolen at that milage. Dont know how you put that many miles on without a 1k mile/ week commute.
Loooooots of roadtrips, lol.... plus just being consistent and riding it every single day. For a little while there when I started the job I'm at now, I was commuting 120 miles/day, but that was only for a couple months until I moved. Before that my longest commute was 90 miles/day for about a year and 2 months. Plus I usually always head out somewhere on the weekends, though lately I haven't been able to do that as much as I used to, as I now live alone and have 3 dogs to care for. But I still get out every chance I get... I absolutely LOVE to travel, so I'm always headed somewhere whenever I can
My other post that didn't show up was a bunch of ride reports and pictures... let me try it again and see if it works this time...
