Ummm...no.
That's 10 pounds of shit in a 5 pound box. Well arranged, but the completely wrong toolbox for the job. Should have stopped at the halfway point and got a true toolbox rather than spending all that time rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. You can see the bracing added to the legs because it's probably already folded at least once.
Even a Harbor Freight toolbox of larger proportions would carry that load more safely and offer more room for the tools....AND stickers.

I'm just wondering what he's working on (and how) when the tools in position A are a dozen punches, 8 big hammers, and what looks like 5 large cans of wd40
Any idea what the color coding of the tape means?
Curious, I could see using tape to code standard vs. metric, but there are 5 different colors.....

The photo is hosted on tsorfas' Photobucket account, so is that YOUR toolbox tsorfas?
I also noted what appears to be the multiple cans of WD40. That seems excessive x4 because there are so many other fluids I'd have there, such as CRC Brakleen, contact cleaner, a silicon/graphite lube, Kroil or PB Blaster, and so on. WD40 is only used by me occasionally as a cutting fluid for when I'm machining aluminum on my open CNC milling machine. Notice there's even MORE down below the cans of WD40?

No lol I saw it online.
I put it on photobucjet to upload it on the forum.
I wish that was my toolbox but I don't even know what half that shit is.
Colored tape is something I learned from Adam btw and I mark the tools I use the most.
Glad it's not yours, tsorfas.
Don't wish it were yours. Wish it were your tools in a better rollaround toolbox with ball bearing drawer slides and at least Ø5" x 2"w. casters.

Labeling the wrenches and sockets with colored tape isn't the worst idea.. hmmm

Nice job. My system is a mess right now. That motivates me.
I think the colors represent a size
What's the difference between a bolt and a screw?
First you screw, then you bolt.
all frequently utilized nuts / bolts on the bike are color coded as well

yeah I dunno...just looks laid out in an arrangement that falls apart if you move the tool box around or after you work on a bike

Haters! I see a well laid out system that clearly works for the user of this box and it's intended application. The wooden "supports " on the bottom are spacers to allow the casters to swivel without touching the trailer wall or the object it's stored next to. By the look of how well it's set up l am willing to bet that if the user thought it was unstable or sketchy it would be set up differently of a bigger box. Perhaps there is no more room in the trailer for a bigger box.
Normal is an illusion, what is normal to the spider is chaos to the fly.
I see the braces on the legs down by the casters as being spreaders because the wheels tried to fold when it was moved. Speaking from experience I've had similar top-heavy loads on similar carts with tiny low-load wheels collapse and/or tip over on me. That thing isn't getting within 6" of a wall on the sides where those braces are. Total load on the little plastic casters is excessive, unless he's upgraded a lot.
While not a fan of HF at all, something like this would hold 2x more stuff in a smaller overall footprint and be 10x safer.

Do you guys really think that toolbox transports in exactly that config? My guess is, most of the tools get dumped into drawers, and then the owner spends 15 minutes setting them back out. Then, anyone at any time can LOOK and grab the correct tool, quickly, without opening drawers. Seems like a pretty good track setup to me, if you had the need to have fast and easy access to everything, and potentially more than one person using it.
I only see one thing wrong with that toolbox.

I like the color coding idea too. I'm guessing there's only 5-6 colors because those are the sizes they use most frequently?
I'm thinking that box never leaves that shop.
