I've got to head down to Spring Valley NY on a week day from S NH and google maps says pike to 84 thru Hartford, is it still a traffic shit storm down there or should I take 95 all of the way?

Thanks, I'm a N shore guy and don't get south of Bos often
What time would you be heading through Hartford?
I drove through last Friday at 6:00-ish and it wasn't bad... 2+ hours on the Pike was a different story, though, but that was some big clusterfuck accident and isn't typical. It really depends on the time of day.
I drive down to NYC pretty regularly. I wouldn't recommend 95 all the way. Use the parkways... they're only 2 lanes and 55MPH, but no commercial vehicles are allowed (so no trucks) and the cars tend to motor right along.
between 11-12:00. Nice first post helping a guy out like that![]()

Yea, you should def. be fine. I work in downtown Hartford and usually no traffic until around 3.30.
Yeah traffic usually isn't too bad anyway except around the tunnel and that's from like 4-5.
Yeah there's a small tunnel that goes under one of the roads up above. Highway sucks there and usually where everyone gets jammed up. It's not bad though unless you're in rush hour.
If you travel at Rush Hour(s) almost the whole east coast is a shit storm

84 through Hartford is a piece of cake, even with the construction going on right now.
I know a little about everything, and alot about nothing.
