Tuono
pppfff yea, just to get sent home....
dont forget to pay your exeise taxes before going to the registry....you know the tax you get gyped with because the towns cannot take care of the local roads.....
ugh....when i get on the phone with someone im gonna blast them about poor customer service.....it eerks me because im a CSR rep for TJX working on registers....i know how it is when someone is pissed about call times....i get blasted all the time....but it seems that the registery is filled with snoody uptight 9-5ers that dont care about your problem....but want to get home for the 4pm opera bookclub special on abc.....
Doesn't Mass allow you to do
some of the basic things online?
yea but pretty much tell u to call them about your current license situation.
MASS is the most fucked up state I have
ever lived in.
And i was born in Jersey!
ive given up on trying to call or do anything online. if youre there 10-15 minutes or so before they open you can be in and out in minutes (well the Lowell one is like that anyway. Never been to any of the others)
You know what I hate abiut Mass? Mass.
You suck at life. Why don't you quit?
My dad told me I could be anything I wanted when I grew up. So I became an Asshole.
I tell you...you should have seen it 20 years
ago for the one near Boston Garden. That was like
the movie Brazil !
Its come along way. I think the one in
Boston Chinatown is pretty quick nowadays by comparison.
At least now you take a number and you can sit.
Before you had to wait in long lines.
2008 Honda CBR 600RR
The Watertown one moves pretty well, I just watch the website with the wait times before heading over.
I just expect to be waiting longer than necessary and plan on it, and I always get treated well cuz I'm nice as pie to the folks behind the counter - after watching people give them a hard time and get screwed it's not worth the anger![]()
I've used Watertown before and was much quicker than in Boston. At least you can see your estimated wait time and go stroll around the mall or hit up the smoke shop while you wait. Oh, never call hoping to speak to a person.
go to the one in Malden, or wherever the hell that is (Melrose?). i actually go out of my way to go to that one. the nicest people of any registry. i made the mistake of going to the location in Reading next to the REI once. i only made that mistake once... and went back to Malden/Melrose.
the one in lowell is nice. i went there to get my permit and was in and out in 30 mins. was there around 4pm on a weekday
Tuono
The problem with the Melrose one is the lack of parking. Theres like 20 spots, and they threaten to tow if you park across the street and stuff (Mainly cause people try to park there for free to use the T)
I always used the Reading one, it was always pretty fast, but they just closed it and I dunno how the new one will be.
well 2.5 hrs later and i got a very bitchy lady that didnt seem like helping at all....but finally i got my answers from them
i did end up blasting them telling them that their phone supports lacks curernt wait times....also i was hung up on many times.
so by the end of the month ill have my license back....
200 excise
140 overdue ticket
100 license reinstatement
50 title transaction
get insurance policy
200 register bike
690 and climbing.....
anyone know a good insurance company in MASS that is not with metlife or metropolitan....both of them SUCK!
I'd go with Commerce. Also, just find a nice, rinky-dink little mom n pop insurance agent. much better customer service and the price is going to be the same, as long as it's a commerce approved agent. also, if you have multiple vehicles or homeowner (renters?) insurance you will also qualify for a discount. i'm getting 15% off my auto (don't know if it applies for bikes???) for having homeowners insurance with commerce, and it's a different agent that wrote that policy.
I've got a list.
Support the Troops! (Except for Mondo, that guy's a dick)
