    Hawk Gurus- need advice

My buddy just took the MSF class two weeks ago- looking for a starter bike.
He went to Laconia last week and looked at a hawk. The guy was originally asking $3k. But just offered it to him for $2500.

the hawk is an 88 with 21+k. It will need brake pads and new grips. Has a dent and scratches all over the place, both HAWK decals will need to be replaced(not a big deal). Runs good. $2500..

    Hawk Gurus- need advice

i think he would be better off buying a sv, although he wouldn't have that cool SSA (and i'm allowed to say that b/c i own a hawk )

...and $2500 sounds a bit high for something that's all scratched up.

Yep, I hate to agree but I say too High as well.

I did deals on 2 recently $1000 and $1250, not in great shape but I have never paid more than $2000 for a Hawk so...

Nice clean ones with no dents and are pretty can go for $3-3500.

Great bike with a Loyal following but...

    I... Can't...say... it.

An SV might be better. There I said it.

That's way too high. 2500 is the going rate for a clean Hawk with the basic low level mods (pipe, jets, filters, emulators).
