So we've got a 02? Geely 125 4stroke scooter with a GY6 engine in it. I know NOTHING about working on a carb (or extremely little, I know how it works and whatnot just never worked on one myself). I've been procrastinating actually tearing into it, but it needs to be rejetted (have a jet kit) since it has an aftermarket high flow intake and exhaust. Also, my roommate who technically owns it put the battery in backwards once so I'm not sure what that did to it.
Anyone in the area that kinda knows what they're doing want to come by some time and help me get this thing sorted?
Beer will be provided, and I live with two strippers if that helps entice anyone.
PS, it says in my info... but I live in Concord, NH.

Wait a second.....
Let me get this straight....
You'll give me cash to come to your house and help you get a scooter running for a stripper roomate of yours.......
I'm guessing you'll pay me in ones so I can buy lap dances and beers while I work on the scooter.
I may be able to help but I need pics pf the strippers to confirm it's worth it.

I can resist everything but Pete's mom.
The engines themselves are cake to work on. GETTING to them is the PITA side of those scooters. Some of them are absolute nightmares.
How many miles on this rig, and has the stock exhaust been put back on to confirm that aftermarket setup actually flows differently and it's not something simpler like tight valves or a gummed up carb hosing up the works?
Had I seen this earlier today... But at 3:46pm I am at the point I can't legally drive![]()
I haven't really gone through it, but I agree it can be difficult to get to. I spent maybe like 30mins going over the basics with it a while ago. I dont' remember the miles off the top of my head, I don't think it was anything crazy. All I know is its running rich, and wasn't tuned when we bought it. It ran but was rough...
Sounds like my day yesterday after I left the track ha. Doesn't have to be today though obviously.
