Looking to buy a scooter for around town that will double as a pit bike. I was interested in the honda ruckus or the yamaha C3, there's a couple on c/l right now but nothing I want to jump on. Anyone know of any around or any dealers dumping last years stuff? Steve.
Buy a Zuma 05 and up...mine is a blast and easily upgraded and parts are easy to find

I've been rockin' a Vino 50 2 stroke. It wheelies. Enough said.

The zuma looks cool, all the vinos I found were 4 stroke?
If you wanna rip mine it's always at the track with me...

Hopefully I'll have one before then pigman, maybe we can start a scooter racing series if the legends cars dont work out? Now THAT would be worth watching!
Pricey gas may make a cheap scooter tough to come by.
Two years ago when it was 4 bucks you could not find scoots anywhere.
Yeah I know I'm not gonna find a killer deal, especially this time of year.

FYI with gas prices as they are, dealers won't be 'dumping' inventory very quickly...
Yeah I didn't think so but figured it's worth a shot. A lot of the ones on craigs are heavily modded. I had no idea there was even a scooter aftermarket.

I am a bit unclear on registration/licensing/inspection laws in MA. Does the machine have to have pedals to qualify for "no registration" required? Is there a 50cc limit?

Thanks, Pigman. I kind of figured that as I have seen some 125 and even 250cc scooters riding around with no plates at all. I suppose this might become a problem as they become more popular with higher fuel prices, and people start having accidents with them....
I would like to get one myself, as they look like they can be a lot of fun. I spent about a week or so with an old Honda Trail 90 a few years ago, and my wife and I really enjoyed it. On one ride, we rode two-up for over 40 miles on back roads. The little bike struggled on some of the hills, but as long as we were not in a hurry, it was fine.
Yea...mine has a good amount of work to it and def helps when your out on the roads as people don't care about you...and even if mine was a 110 I would still keep it registerd as is...but yea they are a Blast to ride on some tight twistie roads wide open... and lots of people just like my CRF50 was like thats Ghey but once you ride it, the smile is hard to wipe off and its just funny to rip around on..and then its Im getting one

the law is Moped's have petals and get stickered. There is a new 'scooter' plate you can get for 49cc or under with no petals. Anything over 49cc's is registered as a motorcycle and you need a MC license and insurance.
