Moving up to the RI area this month and have almost fully decided against getting a truck and just getting a small trailer but I won't have a place to store it. Does anyone have room to keep it at their house for a couple of months and I can pay you a fee or free use of it? Thanks!
I'm in the country north of Hartford Ct, if you want to store it here you can as long as i can move it around if i needed (cutting some trees).

I can talk to the wife to see if she is ok with it..what size is it?

I'm out in the country and in RI, does it come with the bike as well?I've got plenty of room if you're interested, but it's store at your own risk

it would be a small probably 4x7 utility trailer if i get one. i'll probably buy it new so it won't be an old beat up eye sore. i'll have comprehensive on it in case of theft. i'm still weighing the idea of getting a truck but i'm having trouble giving up my car
I could also help you out...
I have room for it, i am close to RI. Only charge would be allowing me to borrow it occasionally when schedules allow.

yeah if you're willing to store it i wouldn't have a problem with you using it whenever. i'll probably only need it every couple of months or so

hmm you don't say...hehe. yeah i might need a place for the dual sport, leaving the track bike in florida. i'll be carrying full coverage on both
If you need a temporary place till you get it sorted out in Narragansett let me know. FYI-If you get a used covered trailer you can just leave the bike in it.
New ones are around 6-7k around here, I use a landscape flat bed cost only $1k new.

thats a small trailer. Look into seeing if you can find a folding trailer... easy, compact storage. I believe harbor freight has one... I used to live in apartments and they had no problem with me storing my trailer in the parking lot... or stick it behind a house or something.
The best advice I’ve ever been given is to not forget where you came from.
the only thing with the folding ones is that it doesn't have sides and i'm also using this to move my stuff up from charlotte. i'd love to get a nice enclosed trailer some day but i don't think the civic can handle it hehe
Yeah I feel ya. I towed with a hyundai elantra lol.
You'd be surprised how little room you have left after putting a bike on it. Best bet is to load the bike.. then get a couple big plastic storage containers and put them on the trailer as well. The sides aren't going to really help hold much in I don't think... at least I never had much luck with my 4x6.

hahaha hmm didn't think about getting plastic storage bins, i was just gonna double garbage bag everything and cross my fingers. that's a much better idea haha
Containers seem key. I'm fairly sure that the world record holder for tons of shit in a small open trailer is held by a NESR member. Pete may have some killer tips.
Containers are overated. Just look at what some of those folks carry in the back of a small toyota pickup in some third world countries. It's amazing.
EX's, a Vulcan, and a KLX pitbike. Honestly, I'm not Kawi loyal. Planning on a DR soonish and an SV eventually someday.
haha well i ordered the trailer today, getting a mesh 4x8 utility trailer so i'm fairly stoked

Listen to the Majician he knows, sometimes the mesh tacks come off after a bit of use. Get yourself some heavy duty cranks the ones that look like seat belts makes easy work of tieing down.
