which boots should I wear to a BoMo track day?

Well, it's time for me to get back on the track.
For anyone who doesn't know, I had a bad gettoff April 2008 during race 3.
I am going back to the track tomorrow with great excitement on ScottieDucati's 848 for the last BostonMoto track day.
I've replaced my track Arai as of this morning. I have a Alpinestars bionic race shield now and a bionic wrist.
The one thing I neglected to do is send out my Sidi Vertigo Corsa boots out for repair. One had the front buckle ripped off.

So should I:
1. Duct tape the front of the Sidi Vertigo Corsa boot where the front buckle used to be.
2. Wear a new, but lesser boot the AlpineStars S-MX5 that I have for the street.

If I knew I wouldn't crash for sure, I could wear flip flops.
As I understand it Scottie's 848 has already been wrecked twice. And what do they say about the third time?
