Thought I saw a thread here on this , but couldn't find it.
In theaters Sept 2nd, anyone know where???
Well I do hope they release the DVD in a US format; frustrating that "Road" wasn't.

I own road (along with many other uk motorcycle movies) all I do is buy them off the uk amazon site. It cost a little more with shipping and you have to have an unlocked dvd player to watch them but it's worth it. I payed 20 bucks for my unlocked dvd player and it was with every pennie. After seeing this yesterday I actually went on and pre ordered hitting the apex ;-) should have it by mid September
Where did you get a multi-region player for 20 bucks? I've thought of getting one, but I've seen them for $150+.
I bought "Road" anyway several months ago and watched it on my sister's multi-region player, it was great.

Ya really amazing movie, probably one of the best. I got my unlocked player from eBay. There were tons. If not the best quality, it's small and I only use it to watch my uk movies so I don't burn it out but I have had it now for 3 years with no problems
"Hitting the Apex will debut in theaters in the UK on September 2nd, and will hit theaters in the USA some time later this year."
Hitting the Apex ? Mark Neale?s New Movie About MotoGP
Hello!
Thanks for writing to ScreenLive - they forwarded your email to me.
We are releasing Hitting The Apex independently in the USA and Canada.
Universal and ScreenLive are releasing it internationally but it's us, the filmmakers, who are doing it here in North America.
We value your support and we want to make the film's release a success and a celebration for everyone who loves the sport.
You can follow the news at https://www.facebook.com/groups/HittingTheApex/
Later this month, we'll be announcing our plans for the USA & Canada release.
The film will be in theaters first, and soon afterwards on DVD and digital (iTunes, Netflix etc).
Please write to me at this email address if you want to help organize a theatrical screening in your area, anywhere in the USA or Canada. I will have details next week of how we can do this together. At this point, just let me know if you're interested.
Thanks for your support!
Mark Neale

Here is my personal review on the movie "Hitting The Apex"
In general I really liked it. I believe every motorcycle enthusiast and racer will.
Especially if you have followed motogp in the years covered it will create a personal connection.
However I don't exactly consider it as much of a movie as faster or fastest.
It was a couple of season reviews with a lot of highlights and some behind the scenes moments.
Noteworthy part for me: as many times I see Simoncellis crash my heart stops every time. It's almost like I am hoping that something different will happen.
I believe the average person who doesn't watch motorcycle racing will not be able to be engaged at all.
I don't mind Bradd Pitts voice but the script was lame : "hit the apex, stay on the motorcycle" repeated 55 times is not a powerful statement, no matter how cool you think your voice is, it's rather boring and shows lack of creativity.
I do hope that the movie has an impact and promotes our sport better.
I just can't put it on the same level with Faster, Fastest, On Any Sunday 1 or 2, and especially not THE ROAD (hands down the best motorcycle movie ever in my opinion).
I would like to see more movies like this. We are on a good path. They can pretty much make something similar after every season or two. But let's make it more of a movie, give the story, show the characters of the riders, let he audience know more about the teams, interview pit crew and engineers, etc.
Thank you
Where can I buy this dvd?
Europe.
There torrents out there now.
I watched it. I agree with Sav's review.
If I were to show a new person a motorcycle movie it would be Faster and Fastest.
