BMW S1000RR HP4, Panigale S and 848 Corse

Met up with 2 buddies yesterday for a little rip. The HP4 had about 190 miles on it and the Panigale had about 85 miles on it when we started, so they were being broken in. The HP4 would not go faster than 125mph, I guess it limited until break-in. What an awesome sight, these 3 bikes....cagers had no idea $65k worth of bikes just past them....

Never seen a white Panigale. I think I prefer the red. And the paint on the HP4 is interesting...on the fence about it.

I know the HP4 is sick, but it still looks like a hippopotamus had sex with a robot. And I see they started putting that fugly heat shield on the new panis due to the heat issue - looks bad. Prefer white over red though,

Yep and he said its worse than the 2012 because it channels the heat to one spot on the upper, inner thigh.

(I still have zero regrets about buying the 'little' Ducati)

Cool bikes, the Corse paint schemes are the best on bikes today, imo. thought about having my FJR done in something similar, but would be a total poser move for that bike.

Yes, and I actually said to myself, hey thats the guy from North River Motors...then waved to you...lol. We were at Verizon because HP4 rider didnt zip his pocket and the iphone flew out at speed.....

If youre talkin the Panigale, yeah I lust for one too...Im sure we all do in some way. I also prefer the red over the new 2013 white color. But thats subjective....

If youre talkin my bike, the 848 Corse, well I fuckin love it too! Its my 8th streetbike, and Ive had more exotic and way faster bikes then this 848, but this Ducati is by far the best overall motorcycle Ive ever had. Im smitten.

Yeah buddy I hear ya....I did the GSXR and Yammy thing for a long time...then I moved onto exotics...Ive owned 3 MV Agustas, this Ducati and 2 other Japanese VTwin supersports.

The crossplane R1 is super awesome to me right now. But overall, anythimg exotic, BMW, Aprillia, Ducati or MV Agusta gets my balls hot....

There were guys with an HP4 and a S1000RR in my ARC class on Monday. It was.. intense.
They stuck around for the track day today. I got to look over the shoulder as the HP4 owner screwed with some of the bazillion settings.
The S1000RR guy crashed.

Just saw 145+ on a s1000 yesterday and I was tip toeing out of 12. There is absolutely no reason for all that power. Holy S, that thing does not quit.

That HP4's front still needs getting used too. I thought the Pani was bad! But yes all that power though, damn. both bikes! bet itd be a blast for Jersey.

The BMW has a limiter that gets taken off at the 600 mile service. it unlocks a bunch of stuff other than top speed also.

Just saw 145+ on a s1000 yesterday and I was tip toeing out of 12. There is absolutely no reason for all that power. Holy S, that thing does not quit.

I had one wheelieing just shifting into 5th at Grattan a few years ago. thing is a monster. saw 155 before shutting it down about 50ft before my regular brake marker and could have parked it before T1, the brakes are that damn good.

Yes yes yes, it's a great bike. But the only thing as ugly that comes to mind is the Pontiac Aztek.

It's almost like BMW built the bike and then said "man, if we don't deliberately make this ugly looking, they may sell really well and we don't want to sell that many so let's fuck it up"

I like the design of the s1000r, just not the paint on the HP4. I like the red/blue/white scheme. That thing is sex.
