    Honda dealers in Mass/ nearby

    Hi all,

So finally I have decided to buy a new Honda CBR 250 bike.
Any recommendations for the dealers - where should I go to buy the new bike and helmet/ gear.

    Thanks in advance

Thats a cool bike. I had a ninja 250 and it was a blast. I think DoubleRR girl has one. Not sure if she has been on here recently.

Where in Mass are you? I've been over to the Weymouth Honda and really like those guys. The owners (Gordon family) are really good people and do a lot of philanthropy work around Boston. Salesmen are knowledgable and friendly, not pushy.

If I were in the market for a Honda, this is where I'd be going in all honesty.

I live in Boston area (to be more specific, Quincy).
Weymouth is quite nearby. I can go there. Thanks rsw81 and GFORCE.
    Any other options?

Motorsports International in Auburn has one on the floor, saw it last week. Cool little bike. I've never purchased a bike from them but their parts/service department is quite good.

Re: Honda dealers in Mass/ nearby

Weymouth is nice but id bet on bettencourts for the best price. Motorsports international is also a choice but its hard to get a good deal form them and there my local dealership. Theyve always forced me to go to bettencourts for a better deal.
The 250rr is a cool little bike. I was toying around with the idea of getting one for a commuter but the ninja won me over with a better ride and better power but it was close. If the rr was cheaper it would have won.

Go to three different Honda dealers and tell them what you want and what their OTD price is. Go with whatever is cheaper.

Don't be afraid to call around outside of NE. I got my cbr from New York Honda Yamaha at a price no one up here would come close to!

I was in the market for a bike found a used r6 at Bettencourt’s. After having them argue with me about financing. I left a down payment to hold the bike went to my bank with all the info to secure a loan my bank asked for a copy of the title. I asked them for a copy told me they didn’t have it yet it would be a few days. Waited a few more days still no title, after two weeks they admitted to me something was wrong and they didn’t know what or how long to see the title. Asked for my deposit back (cash) told me they didn’t know if they could. Few more hoops and some yelling got my deposit back. Whoever they have as there financing person was easily the rudest people I have ever had to deal with or met. And the main reason i wouldn't give them my business ever again. The sales man who helped me was awesome and someone who actually seemed to sell bikes for the enjoyment of motorcycles and not just a paycheck though.

Interesting. I'm willing to bet this was around mid 2008. They had a finance guy named Gary I think. He came from the car world. He lasted about a month. I got him fired after he tried I fuck me by sneakily extending a loan by a year to get an extra $1500 out of me.

That was a blip on the radar for Bettencourts. Give them a second chance one day.

It was a woman who i delt with for financing. Was Gary an bigger guy? i delt with one salesman for the r6 for about 6 minutes who had that car sales mentality before i delt with the older guy with glasses.

I can't say that I recommend them as a dealer for service/support, but I bought my RC51 and my CBR from Best Cycles in Nashua (near MA). In both cases they were several hundred lower than the next best price, and thousands lower than some of the other local dealers. In both cases, Nault's in Manchester was second best on price.

There's probably less room to negotiate price on a CBR250, but getting the best price from a few dealers is a good idea.

Good point on the lower room to negotiate on a 250, but maybe one dealer will do better on accessories than another.

    I contacted Weymouth Honda today.
They gave me a quote - Base Price + Documentation Fee.
No other charges. OTD. Looks good as of now.
Will contact a few more dealers soon

Re: Honda dealers in Mass/ nearby

What are they hitting you for?

I will admit i did have issues with bettencourts service back in the 90's and because of that i no longer have anything worked on by them but i do buy from them. I had bought a 600f2 from them in 92 and it got stripped while it was there for service. They fought me on it for a while saying i brought it in like that but someone found the parts in the one of the employees truck. They replaced everything and gave me extras but the fact that I actually had to fight with them about it really got to me. Normally id never go to a dealer like that again but they always beat everyones prices on the bikes so id take the chance buying from them but never go for service.

Therock, you should amend your original post to say "want cheapest dealer". People are giving you recommendations on a good dealer when all you really want to do is save a few bucks. There is a difference!

Can you explain what exactly is the difference?
I thought the bike is gonna be the same irrespective of the dealer.
Its only the pricing & servicing that matters and that's why I asked good dealer. I don't want cheapest but I also dont want to be ripped off by these extra charges... I want value for money.

A good dealer is one you pay the premium for so that god forbid something goes wrong, they will go the extra mile to help you.

Example. You have a two day over night trip planned. The day before you change your brake pads and sheer a bolt. (Seriously who the fuck put locktight in there!) Can't match the bolt anywhere, go insane and think you'll have to cancel the ride. Call the dealer as a last ditch, talk to your sales guy. They don't have one in stock, instead he charges you for the bolt and rips the bolt out of a bike on the showroom floor and gets you on the road.
