........"harley"...oops...i mean "honda"
triumph
Of all of the bikes I've ever owned, I liked my Hondas best. They never broke, ever.![]()
of the jap four if always had a thing for kawasaki's. could be the fact i grew up near a dealership. the owner used to let me and my friends sit and drool all over the kx60's and 80's. the fact that most hate them helps to. i never go with whats popular![]()
....just 4 the record..ive had 6 honda motorcycles....3 accords and a civic...1 kawi,,,1 triumph...i think thats it...
You spelled Kawasaki WRONG!![]()

I bought a brand new SV650 in 1999, and the motor developed a knock at 600 miles. Suzuki told me "tough shit, get over it and stop wheelieing it". I *still* cant do a wheelie on anything other than a 2 stroke dirt bike.
I bought a brand new DRZ400SM this past year, and have had scads of carburetor problems, a dead battery, and a bad ignition switch.
I had an 01 R1 that had a bad EXUp valve; I spent $900 chasing the problem, only to have Tully fix it with a piece of safety wire.
I had a Kawasaki ZX-7 that had a myriad of different electrical issues which usually cropped up far from home, and made the bike not run.
I had a Triumph Sprint that was a good bike, but the maintenance was expensive and parts somewhat difficult to come by.
I had 4 CBR1000's, the newest with 6,000 miles, the oldest with 48,000. I never did anything other than change the oil and ride them everywhere. Same with the Honda Hawk, Interceptor 500, and VFR 750 I had.

I can't knock any of these other brands. I have only owned Suzuki bikes. I love my GSX-R though.
SV650S
GSXR 600
Honda
rock solid, maybe sometimes boring but always
dependable.
Though the new 600RR seems to break the boring mold.
I've owned an Honda XL-125, an 600F3 and now an 05 600RR.
All great bikes.
I used to be a Honda person.
Now I'm a Kawasaki person.
No real reason, just like the bikes they put out a bit more. I still own 3 out of the 4 and like them all. The odd part is that currently, 2/3 Honda's aren't running or running right.![]()

I've only owned 3 bikes... all kawi's.... i didn't plan it, just happened that way... Ya, I like Kawi, but i don't have any real brand loyalty. If a sweet deal on a honda, zook or yami comes my way I won't discriminate.

I'm loving my Kawi, but would love to try a 'Zuki next.
I know a little about everything, and alot about nothing.
Everyone seems to ride a Honda.
Owned a couple of Kawi's, they seemed a bit harsh for some reason.
I've always been a suzuki guy.
I beat a 1996 Bandit 600 well over 50,000 miles.
I've owned 3 gen1 sv650's that showed 35k, 22k, and 19k on the odometers when I sold them.
All 4 Suzukis were purchased used, riden daily , and sold with NO mechanical issues ever, can't ask for more than that.
My first bike was a cb500 i think 82...it was so long ago i forget. I rode it to NH. It started to overheat. Checked the oil there was none. Couldn't get a ride to save my life so i rode it till it was hot pull over let it cool and ride it till hot again. Didn't care if i killed it because i had my eye on a 750 Interceptor. Made it all the way home with no oil and the last 1/2 hour it was hot as all hell. Parked it in my yard after crawling home with it. Next morning went to work that night got home and that little bitch started right up. Two weeks later put it up for sale and bought the Interceptor. I sold it to a buddy of mine for 500bucks and he rode it for another 3yrs. After that i,ve always bought Honda...you can't kill the things.

I've owned 3 Hondas ('88 Hawk GT, '90 CBR600F, and current '97 CBR900RR) and 2 Suzukis (82 GS450L [my first bike], '93 GSXR750 [first liquid-cooled Gixxer])
I tend to find that Honda has the best fit & finish of the 4 Jap sportbikes. As far as performance, all have their good and bad.
Personally, I like Ducatis though.
The wallet dictates what I ride though.
exactly.
does any one get free bikes/parts/stuff from any manufacture for buying only their stuff? most likely not. so who cares
I bought my ducati because I wanted one for years, ever since I seen a 916 in personbut I rode 6k in three months and that little m620 blew up. I relized how expensive ducs were and turned my back since I'm not rich. so I bought my fizza just because of the deal, even though I wanted and SHOULD have bought an r1
next up I wouldn't mind a honda since I've owened 3 acuras and loved em. and I like the problem free thing that honda has going for it. although I never HAD to change anything with the yammy
