Anyone else watching tonight?
Dad's Dream: Earn enough money to live the life that his wife and kids do.
I don't know if it was new or not. He was running the Isle of Mann on an erector set. Thought it was interesting, but with all British things, it got old quickly.

He really isn't that bad in real life. The BBC has framed him that way. He came to interview me a few years ago while I was working in London. It was for one of his engineering shows. I spent most of the day with him just talking. He certainly is smart and a decent guy but they really push his slow, ponderous ,know it all persona. He really just likes clever things. I don't think I ever made it onto one of his shows but the BBC used my footage in another along with the discovery show.
I really do enjoy most of his shows. They aren't as childish as hamsters shows.
How can anyone not like Captain Slow? I actually quite like his TV personality and would only imagine it funnier in person.
Their new series, a LA after top gear, is slated for Amazon prime release.
I am surprised big balls cancelled top gear

According to the latest I've read, Clarkson/Hammond/May's new show has been picked up by Amazon Prime for three 12-episode seasons and has begun filming. Rumor has it it'll be called "Gear Knobs," though that hasn't been confirmed.
And "Top Gear" will be continuing on the BBC with new hosts and a new format. I don't expect it to be very successful.
This article sums it all up pretty well, though some of the info has been updated in the meantime (for example, apparently Guy Martin will not be involved in the new TG after all):
