I'm watching the 1985 Daytona 200 on YouTube and the guy fighting for second is John B.
Is he of the same Bettencourt who owns the named dealership in Bridgewater?
Apparently he also teaches at Penguin

Yeah that is Johnny B of the bettencourt dealership family. He is deceased. He was an mx racer and later a nationally competitive road racer.

Watching these old races makes me so happy
I wish Dale Quarterly still lived in my parents home town - I could use some pointers from a real pro.

Dale quarterly will be at Loudon as grand marshal for the USCRA races June 9th I believe.

I picked up a British classic bike magazine in London back in March and it has some stuff on Johnny Bettencourt in it and some pics from Loudon from 1978. I dropped the magazine in to his brother, Mark at the dealership last week. He got a real kick out of seeing that.
