One more stupid question, how do you guys deal with fuel jug? Ive been trying to bungee it to the center floor mount thing, but it keeps tipping over and stuff, I dont like strapping it to the bike if I can help it, but so far that seems about the only option.

Using bolts and wing nuts, I temporarily fasten a milk crate to the floor behind the bike and bungee the fuel jug into that. Had to drill a couple holes but no big deal.

    Re: Kendon trailers

So people smarter than me help me. Love the trailer, hate the location/attaching of the ramp. PITA to deal with. Was thinking of rigging a way of attaching it to the deck of the trailer. Dont want it bouncing around, so it needs to be bolted down tight, but I wont be able to get under the trailer to put a bolt through or anything everytime. Also dont want something major sticking up permanently. Would rather not deal with welding if I can help it. Is there any supersized Dzus fastener or anything like that out there?

Keep it in the trunk. It's a short 3' or so right?

Did that last time, just want to keep it out of the way when I got all my gear along with the wifes gear in the trunk area.

OK so drill a hole and put the bolt up through the trailer, the ramp sits on the bolt and then you secure it with a wingnut...

Nut plate or tee nut installed on the bottom side of the deck, and wing bolts to hold down the ramp?

Thought about the bolt, downside is unless I secure it Id have to get under the trailer to put it in the hole (giggity) or if I secured it Id have a bolt sticking up permanently.

yes permanently have the bolt sticking up.. can't be too big. If you don't like that I think you'll need a nut plate or similar welded to the trailer.
or what about a pin with a safety clip, still would have to lean under to clip it just not thread a nut.

They make nut plates that you can attach with rivets or screws as well. http://www.aircraftfast.com/anchor_nut_plates.htm

    Re: Kendon trailers

I also dislike the ramp mounting location, so usually just stow it in the car (barely fits!), but have bungeed it across the trailer behind the bikes.

A friend mounted bolts sticking up from the middle of the trailer, permanently. Bad place - pretty serious trip hazard, and in the way while loading bikes. Bad news.

Nutplates sound like a great idea.
