What is a decent keyless gas cap to get?
I've forgotten/lost my key at the track twice now and have had too many panic attacks.
I was going to order the LightTech gas cap from TJ at riders discount, cause he's really been killing it with prices, but they're out of stock for 2 weeks. Would like to have this before the Tony's days this weekend.
I have absolutely NO PROBLEM getting an eBay one, nor do I have a problem paying for a name brand if it makes a huge difference. It just needs to work, and not stop working. Simple enough item with like 0 moving parts, shouldn't be too hard.

I'd go Vortex. I bought another brand because I thought I'd save a bit of money, it was delivered and didn't include the cap, base only. Cap put the price $50 over the Vortex model - which is pretty well proven to be a good unit.
I went to MMI I know what Im doing here chief
I got a Moto-D 1/4 turn and I've been happy with it so far. Otherwise I've always had Vortex.
Safety wire & clip the key to the triple?

I had good luck with Slingshot Racing units.
Or just get a motard, they come with keyless caps out of the crate.![]()
I bought a new Vortex in July and it came with everything needed to bolt on for my SV. I like it.

I've been really happy w/ my TWF Racing Parts gas cap. No way to over/under tighten it.
The ONLY drawback I've experienced is that it's a little tough to open w/ gloves on, but that's a minor gripe and I RARE ever need to do that anyway.

I bought a SSR cap for my Ducati. The cap was nice but the seal they used/sent me was affected by gasoline and distorted cracked.
There's a few threads on the MsDucati site about these and their issues. and you get what you pay for I guess.

I've had both Vortex and Yoyodyne. I like the ease of the Yoyodyne. It's a 1/2 turn locking, vs the spin on of the Vortex. Both serve their purpose.
