Thanks for the compliments on the house

That's very nice of you to offer to ride the KTM if I get a street plate for the YZ If I get that plate, the KTM is going by by so you can have your chance to ride it anytime you want once the funds clear

I did a bad thing today during lunch break, I ordered a SuperMoto conversion kit for the bike.
I was pricing out what I wanted and was having $ticker $hock with the numbers, plus shipping costs, plus running around and picking up what would have been ordered locally...yeah I'm all set. This kit is also set up for quick wheel swaps, it doesn't use any of the dirt stuff
    Here's what's included...

***Gold Talon hubs with Black Excel wheels
    3.5"x17 front
    5''x17 rear
***Michelin Supermoto race tires, heavy duty tubes, rims strips, mounted
and balanced. 120 front, 160 rear
***MotoMaster race braking kit, 320mm flame rotor, 4 piston caliper, adaptor
    bracket, and pads.
***Braided brakeline (I ordered black but I may change that to red)
    ***Brembo radial master cylinder
    ***SuperMoto Front fender (white)
***Pro Rally Supermoto hand guards (white)
    ***Front and rear axle sliders
    ***Rear sprocket, #42
    ***Rear brake wave disc
    ***Gold chain

The only suck part is I have to wait almost 2 weeks for them because I went with the 5" rear vs the 4.25"

How much for the kaboodle? Maybe I'll just have you buy a bike and do a street plate & conversion for my next bike.

And wtf is with HD tubes? That's unsprung weight, and that's bad.

I aint sayen, more than 2k but less than 3k, maybe somewhere in the middle

I'm sure with my skill level, I will never notice the unsprung weight from the heavy duty tubes...plus I want them because I grow rocks and will be riding on them

Not yet The kit was supposed to ship yesterday but I never got a tracking number. They open at 10am, I'm calling in 3 minutes

The Graves parts should be here today according to the UPS tracking number...though I can't install the Graves parts without the SuMo kit

Well, it's not rideable at the moment. It's sitting on a stand in my basement with the wheels off, no chain on it, no front fender and no front brake set up. I like to be ready so once the parts come, I just put them on and I'm done....it's been sitting like that for over a week and a half now

How was it before I took it apart about sums it up.
The thing fucken rips!!! The only problem is anything above 1/8 turn on the throttle and the front wheel looses traction as it points to the sky

    Wait, what?

Anyway, I figured I'd take a couple pictures of the bike as it sits in my basement. I haven't had time to set up a workshop down there yet so don't give me any shit about the mess

I'm praying that tomorrow night I can update these pictures

    That bike is hot, Mark!

And you have the same R6 banner of Jason DiSalvo that I have in my garage.

Looks like your basement needs the 'garage guy' treatment

Yup, same R6 poster...and I have one of the Anni R1, and another of the Yamaha Raptor

The basement does need the garage guy treatment, feel free to start whenever you like

    Update..

Some parts came today Wheels with the tires mounted (even though the tires are not exactly what I wanted, Pilot race soft are mounted now, I wanted the SuperMoto race pregrooved slicks), chain, sprocket, hand guards and the SuMo front fender.
What's missing (not to happy about it) is the MotoMaster Race braking kit, rear disc, and the front and rear sliders.

I would update with some pictures but I have beer to drink and I'm thirsty...been a very long week and I feel like getting smashed tonight

Yup, and it's adjustable too!!! If you need to lower the bike, simply pick the bike up and set it off to the side, then pull out the concrete block. Pick the bike back up and set it on the stand again The nice thing about a light bike

    Re: What kinda wheels....

Well all the hard work is done and I was able to ride the bike today
I had no extra time for pictures so maybe tomorrow at some point I'll get some.

The MX front brakes are pretty much useless for slowing this thing down at speed. The MotoMaster kit "should" be here Tuesday.

I need to up 1 tooth on the front sprocket, even though the bike is a 5spd, it only feels like it tops out around 85 ish? I'm looking for 100 ish

I had to trim the front fork guards to fit the tire in there, I had to cut 10mm off one of the front wheel spacers so I could get the nut on the axle. As I was fighting to install the front wheel, I realized I was sent the wrong spacers. It works for now.

The rear was a royal pain in the balls. Fitting that 5" rim with the 160 tire was quite a challange and isn't going to make for quick wheel swaps in the future. Just like on my KTM, I had to shave one side of the tire down with a block plain to clear the chain. I also had to space the sprockets out a bit...and I also had to move the chain guide/sliders out a bit. After all that, I installed the Graves chain block. I've got less that 1/16" clearance from the chain to tire but it doesn't hit with that block on

All I need to do before the trackday is install the braking kit, install the axle sliders, and put the hand guards on....oh and give it another oil+filter change.

I gotta clean it up a bit and I'll snap some pictures tomorrow at some point. The sticky goo that was on the chain is everywhere and picked up all kinds of dirt, sticks and leaves from riding it in the woods
