So I'm not the only freak who pushes their bike from the right side? Kick stand on one side, me on the other. I thought the concept made sense?
I know a little about everything, and alot about nothing.
i got i 450lb pig, you would be amazed how quik it comes of its side when you stop sliding and you see your bike in traffic on the highway![]()

Tipped my bike over in the garage at TTD...
Almost dropped my Ducati today, I was out for a ride stopped for lunch got of the bike and let go... remembered that I hadn't put the kick stand down just in time to catch it. I got confused with the racebike, no kickstand.

lol i sorta had the same situation, but i was sittin on the bike backin it out, usually with the stand still down, but i leaned it over to get off the bike and some reason the stand was up....the bike fell right on my left leg slowy as i tried to hold it up lol, good thing it was in my driveway.
wow....when you said "laid her down", I thought you meant lowside
I'm glad to hear that it's not anything of that sort, and that you're doing alright.
who cares if you had a standstill tip? hasn't everyone on here done it before?

You need to wear heels on that thing so you can reach the ground. Preferably stilettos.:

Do you have a passenger seat with a strap? It makes a really good hold point when you're using a rear stand solo. Worth popping the seat on.
I dropped my last 600 in my own garage. Landed real nice on the sliders and didn't scratch anything. Picked it up, my hand slipped and caught the windscreen. Busted it up good. So $0.00 fall, $75.00 to stand it back up.![]()
5'5" but by the time my foot was flat on the road, the bike was at like a 45 degree angle and the only way it was going was down.
I know how to do a hill start....I've ridden that road many many times and have been driving a stick since I was 16 on nothing but hills...I'm good w. the hillsHowever, even on the flat road it stalled again. I'm gonna get the carb adjusted and cleaned. I don't think there's ever been any maintenance done to it w. the prior owners.

We all drop it at some point. You just need to shake it off. I know your pain about being short. Im 5'6 and Im sure my bike is taller and much heavier then yours. I cant reach the ground and hills can be a challenge. Practice stopping with only putting your left foot down and keeping your right on the peg and brake while on the hill. Its uncomfortable at first but after a few times on a flat surface youll be used to it.
It does suck to drop it in front of people. My most embarassing moment happened last year. My bike was still cold so it wasnt running 100% yet. Im waiting at a side street to pull out onto a main street and it just happens at this one time a guy decides to be nice and stop to let me out. I give it a bit of gas let the clutch out and the bike stalls in the middle of the road and almost tosses me. I felt so stupid with about 10 people watching the entire thing.
ya, I'm over it. Tomorrow I'm going to spend a good part of the day re-doing the spare body work I have anyway.
