For you and your bike's sake, I pray for snow to save it from being crashed before the new year (no offense)
My 2006 ZX10r with stock gearing will do 104 mph in 1st gear. I havent done it personally but have seen a video of my same bike on Utube doing it... crazy-tall first gear

What you fail to see is that I AM abiding by the golden rule. You're annoying unto me so I'm annoying unto you.
As for chasing someone off, I don't remember that, but if you mean CBR Knight, all I did was put my boobs on his head at Lin Garden.![]()

Not while you're still accelerating.
Preloading the shift lever won't do anything while you're accelerating, unless you release the tension inside the transmission by either disengaging the clutch or closing the throttle (clutchless upshift). And if you do either one of those, then you're not really accelerating at all, are ya?

Go for one more edit, Pete. He would be looking to disengage the clutch.

Clicking the new posts button is like standing my the train tracks, knowing that #9 train is going to derail... Jcrawford is that train.
When I miss a shift either to first or from first it usually ends up in neutral. Hate to say I did it yesterday in a one lane down hill tight turn. Wheeeee, free ride, back to second, man this is a tight turn, wow is that the side of the road under my tire?

ride a 2-smoke dirt bike, with tall knobbies, on pavement in the rain!
I would have a blast in pouring rain rolling into a turn with a 12hp XR200R, locking up the the rear tire to spin the back around, then mashing the throttle and popping the clutch to start fish tailing, then continuing to let it spin as the rear slid from side to side, until it straightened out and got traction...all under 15mph
oh those were the days....I need another db real bad...stupid real world makes me stupid broke...![]()

Whoa, whoa, whoa, ms lippy...
Jc posts a thread so he can laugh at himself, because he admittedly did something stupid, and then gets all bitty-bumhurt when people call him an idiot? (some more colorfully than others)
Hey dude, don't advertise you're a retard and people will leave you alone. You learned a little lesson in motorcycling: shift like you mean it. We've all done it before.
The real lesson to learn here is: if you don't want to get slammed, don't invite it.
