ive been looking around for a while now. but really undecided on what size thumper i should get for my first soon to be motard. everyone says if you want a reliable bike go for the drz 400, but the only problem ive heard about that is that they are underpowered . really i dont want a bike that i am going to get bored of in one year and have to go threw the trouble of having to sell the bike and buy a bigger bike. so really what i am trying to get at is should i get the 400 and put work into it or just wait and get a 450- 525? what would be the best bet for getting into super moto?
both really . def the street ,but hoping to get up to the track this year
PK said it best... jack of all trades = a master of none.
Not to rain on the parade, but you should pick a focus... street with occasional track duty = DRZ.
Track = 450 CRF with a BUNCH of mods.
If you're just getting into it, get the DRZ, you'll have a blast on the street and you could still rock track days no sweat. Once you start to get faster you'll want the 450, but that comes with a price... less streetability, more maintenance, etc.
thanks for the advice . hope to see you guys at the track this year . also had a question about tonys track days. i here they only go on during the week is this true? if so how would one get to ride louden on the weekends
