Lifan is a Chinese clone type company. It is, in no way, an actual Honda.

Looks like a Chinese knock off.

Oh ok. Yeah the Honda part was throwing me off. And I had never heard of Lifan before. Thanks for the info.

So that bike has some sort of twin 250cc Honda knock off engine in it? What would the engine be a clone of back in 2005, a Rebel?

i believe that a lot of the honda parts are interchangeable though. Kurlon would know more about it though.
When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...

It's an XR/XL style vertical single. The pics aren't clear enough for me to be able to tell if it's a pushrod or OHC motor. Both put out similar power, but the pushrod motors are notorious for being over-reved till they die as they put the same Tach and CDI on both despite needing wildly different rev limits. The 250cc units are not common, more typically you see 200cc import verticals. You'd have to check to see if this actually was a 250. Uses the same motor mount layout as XR200s, XL175s, XL200s, SL100s, etc.
For what they're asking for a used unit, I'd rather buy a new one.
its worth maybe the $1100. Not the $2000. You can get a new one for $1900. I highly doubt 100mph is possible. I think those cheap 250s have about 12hp.
XR/XL design in a street bike? poop
